  1. When the baby is born you can apply for extension based on that. (if you don't want to get married)

In both cases rule 2.18 (police order 777/2551)

2.18 In the case of a familymember of a Thai(applicable only to parents, spouse, child, adopted child or child of his/her spouse):

Permission will be granted for a period of not more than 1 year at a time.

    (1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM)

    (2) Proof of family relationship

    (3) In the case of a spouse, the marital relationship shall be de jure (legitimate) and de facto;

    (4) In the case of a child, adopted child or child of his/her spouse, the said person must not be married, must be living with the family, and must be less than 20 years of age; or

    (5) In the case of a parent, one of parents must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit of not less than 400,000 baht for expenses within a year.

    (6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

You can also get a work permit on this visa/extension of stay.

  2. By the way. down here in Thailand. here is not any beutiful cats. they run arround most of the time

and doesn´t look good at all. Just so you know!!

    Glegolo

    ??????? :)

You obviously is only as a tourist in Thailand.

Thailand has the most beautiful cats in the world.

    Patsy:

In one week they will establish who is the boss. (The 9 year old)

Then it's not going to be any problem.

If your cat is female, pick a male or vice versa.

  3. Hi all,

My friend and I will be going to Khota Baru next week to renew our Visas.

I am applying for a Non B multilpe entry Visa but my friend wants to get a 60 day TV... I know that his last entry was a 30 day on arrival Visa exempt stamp and before that a 60 day TV issued in Penang.

If anyone has any news or info about getting TV at the embassy in Khota Baru that would be great.

There seems to be a lot of different reports on ThaiVisa as to what happening since the announced crackdown on back to back TVs so just want to make sure my friend doesn't waste time, money and hassle going to Khota Baru.

    Cheers

Nobody is sure about the tourist visas back to back.

They have been turning down applicants with two back to back even before the new crackdown.

Only one thing is sure, you will not get a multiple Non-B in Khota Bharu.

If you have at least eight months validity on your WP then you can get it in KL.

  4. Why don't you apply for extension of your WP for one year.

The rule stating it follows your extension of stay is gone.

I got a one year stamp the day before I applied for my new 1 year extension based on marriage.

Also, you don't have to wait for your visa to expire.

You can apply now unless you really enjoys border runs ever 90 days.

  5. Police furious over 'staged' video nasties

Clips 'not intended to harm tourism industry'

Widely distributed video recordings of foreign tourists reputedly being ripped off over damage to jet skis on Phuket and other incidents have been made to damage Thailand's tourism reputation, authorities say.

The producers of the video clips - shown on British cable television and YouTube - and the victims of the alleged scams have denied the accusation.

Pol Lt Gen Santhan Chayanont, chief of Provincial Police Region 8 which covers the upper South, yesterday said efforts to tarnish Thailand's image might be coordinated.

  6. "Campaigns among men to deter them from buying sex from women should help - if there are no buyers, there won't be sellers," she said.

    unbelievable comment

In Sweden and Norway it is already a crime for a man to buy sex!

Is it a crime for the woman to sell it?

They will have to get rid of all those signs on massage parlour room doors that say please dont have sex in the room also fill in all the peep holes.

    No, women can sell sex.

So a women who buys sex from another female is not committing any crime.

  7. a huge amount of yellows are fanatical and driven purely by hate.

the reds in contrast are driven by love.

I suppose if things hotted up over the next few months, and another victor bout came along with a truck load of AK47s and rocket launchers, and parked it in the yellows headquarters ,

we could very well see some type of "ethnic cleansing". would the army step in ? half heatedly to round them up, but if the reds had the guns, well, dead for sure.

Yes, The "Love" parade during songkran was impressive.

Also the gay bashing in Chiang mai by the loving red shirts.

  8. I'm not a moderator.
