  2. Old classic Samui road sign.

Not sure if I am missing an "in" joke here or just being a spoil-sport but that picture is obviously - badly - "Photoshopped".

The lower part of the "B" has been erased making "Brick" into "Prick" .

Surely there are enough amusing realities here without having to resort to crude techie subterfuge?

    Patrick

Actually it was done the old fashion way with yellow paint on the sign.

  3. Hi All,

I have a question along this line.

I wish to apply for a non-immigrant B visa, with 1 year, multiple entries. I am in Sydney, but have heard Sydney is rather tough.

Can I send my application to another state or do I have to do it in person?

Any feedback on Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra or is Sydney ok?

I apologise of this has been answered numerous times before, but would really appreciate the advise from you all.

Apply for a non-O in Perth.

    Reason: visiting friends.

You'll find it hard to get a 1 year non-B without a workpermit.

  4. If you have a tourist visa (got visa from consulate) you'll get 30 days extension.

If you arrived on a visa exempt stamp (given at airport) you'll get 7 days if you can show a ticket out of the country within 7 days.

    No further extensions are given.

If you are on a visa exempt stamp you should go to nearest border and get another 15 day stamp.

  5. Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij and Deputy Finance Minister Pruttichai Damrongrat visited Koh Samui to observe repairs and reconstruction work in progress of a 70 kilometre ring road around the island

They must be talking about the ring road to include the southern section which goes past Thong Krut, snake farm etc ( Road no. 4170), as the present ring road (4169) is only about 52 kms. Or maybe the will also include Bang Rak and Choeng Mon? (4171) :)

The missing 18 km is for tea-money. :D
