My local police chief visited my house yesterday to take pics of me and the wife and my passport and retirement visa.........  Other guys around here had similar visits......... anybody else had visits ?

So what was the name of the hotel ?  Good reporting, let the public stay there and find out for themselves how crappy the place is. No doubt H&S have been informed...... what H&S I hear you cry ?!!!

They banned smoking in Go-Go bars years ago....... but you still leave smelling like an ashtray. Smoking is a bit like homosexuality  ie  to be conducted in private between consenting adults !

I just wonder how the guys that use the '' No savings, No income, No problem''  Visa agents ,are going to manage when they next renew their Visa !!

Had the British seen fit to 'visit' all those years ago the Thai standards of English would have been on a par with Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, India etc etc . I wonder why the British decided not to 'visit'  !!?

....and could 7/11 please switch off the annoying '' Bing Bong '' which welcomes you enter and as you leave. I feel sorry for the cashier who stands 1.5 meters from it for the whole of their shift. Tesco Lotus Mini's ''BING BONG'' is even louder !!  H&S where are you ?

Brain dead gofers disturbing the quiet village life across the country and 99% of local police chiefs do nothing to control this anti social behavior .

How about ramping up the entire Thai police force  !!

Has anybody seen the airship or aircraft carrier lately !!? What will mini subs be used for ? ......that's if they can find their way through the rubbish and sewage around the coastline !

... and what about the seizing all the dustbin sized exhausts that are fitted to lorries ?  

Still looks as though he needs a shower ......

'' Thai media said on Facebook that complaints came form the foreigners '' ........ I think you'll find 99% of those visiting Immigration are in fact foreigners...... durrr.

 There are plenty more Immigration Offices that need a kick up the backside.... staff wearing scruffy jeans and T shirts and tables piled high with passport page photocopies and the odd lunch box. 

''  parents to help improve safety measures for schoolchildren ''....... does that mean stopping  young teenagers riding 4 to a motorbike to school .... or will the school Heads do something about it ... or will the police on duty outside the school gates take action?

The British Embassy have been charging 2600 Baht or whatever to say that they have only seen your income statements.... not that they have confirmed that those statements (which can be easily falsified ) are true .  Well done the British Embassy for stopping this silly expensive letter which does not prove your income is honest and true......

 I got a letter from my bank stating that I had the required 800,000 + in my account. The letter was dated 11th of the month. (cost 100 Baht )

I applied for my retirement visa the next day and the Immigration Office rejected the letter because it was not dated the 12th  !  I showed them my bankbook which proved the amount. They said the rules changed a month ago. So I went to the bank again and got an identical letter dated 12th which was accepted.  Time for Immigration to start updating their changes by giving Thaivisa.com a heads up !

 A swipe of my Passport gives every detail that Immigration require. So how simple it would be to print out those same details on a form for me to sign instead of scribbling through a poorly designed one. 

Now I feel better !

...oh well..... another 5000 Baht fine should soon sort out the problem !

 Surely your bankbook is proof that you have the required monies and have had them in your account for three months. Your bank manager will give you a letter to that effect and it will cost you 100 Baht. Show this to Immigration together with your bankbook. Make sure the bank letter is dated the same day that you visit Immigration.The Embassy see only what you have shown them and assume that they are 'genuine' and then charge you 2600 Baht for the 'service'.
