So the restaurant staff must have been aware of this obstacle. A simple cone over the obstacle would have been a good idea. There are very few sidewalks in Pattaya that can be used. Check out the 'sidewalk'on the left at the end of Soi Diana and 2nd road . The restaurant has built a wall along the kerb to make more floor area for tables. TIT.

The problem of hooligan brain dead gofers on bikes with illegally modified exhausts can easily be solved. The police tell all the village headman to announce , on the 1st of the month, during their morning loud speaker chat, that the police will confiscate bikes with illegal exhausts if they are not fixed by the end of the month.  Self policing I think its called.

Trucks, lorries,buses,mini buses,pickups and motorcycles spew clouds of un-burnt fuel all the time and I've yet to see any vehicle being pulled over for doing so. Police check tax , licence and speeding offences and as the lorry pulls away the policeman, wearing a face mask, quickly turns the other way as he becomes engulfed in smoke. 

So if you have the Baht 800,000 then these monthly income proofs are not required ?!

As a non-smoker I enjoy fresh air and take exception to smokers and vape addicts polluting the air in public.

Smoking and vaping should be conducted in private between consenting adults. 

How about the most senior traffic police officer sending a message to all traffic police commanders throughout Thailand to do the same and stop these brain dead anti social gofers ?  Sorry , dreaming again !
