One has been parked in my Soi for over 2 years by a traffic warden who used to live in the Soi. It’s full of his personal belongings, he visit it now again, he has been asked to move it but ignores every one, some of the Thais think he is Police because of the uniform and are scared to approach him,TBH nothing illegal about it but it’s an eyesore.

So if you are coming to Thailand on a short break and plan on hiring a car or a motor bike using an IDP the first thing you have to do is find a Land Transport office to do the test or is it going be online ? -
Teachers and sometimes the Police outside my sons school watching young kids on motor bikes and parents with no helmet, no action taken. Over the W.E. they have repainted the red and white crossings and put more Road markings down outside the school, no idea why as I doubt the majority of drivers don’t know what they mean.

Why You Should Get a Thai Wiil.
Jumbo1968 replied to Jumbo1968's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
If the condo complex owners find out she is not the legal owner they will take it from her. Speaking with his daughter today she wants it legally to be signed over to her, I wish her the best of luck. -
Why You Should Get a Thai Wiil.

His family haven’t been in contact for 20 years with him, and already said no no intention of coming to Thailand and currently not going to fund anything. Their attitude I believe is the fellas girl has the Studio Apt for free and that’s it. -
A colleague passed away very suddenly last week,he didn’t have a Thai Will, some thing he was always talking about but never got round too it, tbh he appeared to be in good health, he owned a Studio Apartment which he said he would leave to his Thai partner not married of 20 years. He has a U.K. daughter and son, they won’t be coming here, they hadn’t been in contact for years, they said his Thai partner can have the Studio Apt. The Tabien Baan has no ownership name in it but there were documentation in the Apt when he bought the property. He had only a few thousand baht here not enough to cover the funeral costs, he is currently in Bangkok undergoing a post mortem, his Thai partner wants him bringing back to Pattaya for a proper cremation albeit she says she has no money although she has family who I am sure would help for the cremation. His daughter has documents to complete so as and when his body is released decisions can be made about his cremation, she was advised by The Embassy don’t send money to people here as you don’t know them. A bit long winded, the moral is get a Thai Will made, you just don’t know what’s round the corner, now it’s big mess leaving his affairs to be sorted here and in the U.K., in fact I don’t think he made a U.K. Will either.
