  1. Wrong, I have travelled on several flights with Emirates both economy and BS over the last 10 years, same menu same meals. They might have done a few years back but not now, First Class I would think so.
  2. I travelled back with Emirates, there are obviously benefits travelling Business Class but the food you get is the same as economy only served on a proper plate. The breakfast was very poor, dried up, I complained but all I got was an apology and they would pass my complaint on to the catering department
  3. I did for my Thai wife and son, in and out in 10 minutes, no queuing up either.
  4. Never keep large amounts of money in an account that can be accessed with a debit card, keep a minimal amount and transfer as and when you need cash.
  5. The first timers will go for the ‘bright’ lights initially and ones that watch on YouTube.Nick Dean was advertising his bars on signs on the baht buses, they appear to have been removed, I doubt it attracted any additional customers though.
  6. I can’t imagine small bottles of beer for much less than 100 baht if air conditioned then, the expats who live here won’t be flocking to it irrespective of the decor either. Any bar business if they want to make a go of it has to price beers accordingly to attract expats if they want all year trade. One on the corner of Soi 19 Soi Bukhao happy hour 50 baht until 6pm, it was empty the other day so even cheap beer doesn’t attract the punters.
  7. I agree but the new Myth Night place and Treetown bars are not frequented by expats who live here, they only go where alcohol is reasonably priced.
  8. The fella who refurbished 4 bars in Soi 7 is English not Thai not unless a Thai is fronting him ?
  9. I can’t see the logic of opening a bar complex at this time of year, ok they might have a good few days for Songkran but that’s only the Expat tourists who will be spending in the bars.
  10. I would like to see the business plans of the new bar owners, there are more bars than ever but fewer customers, bound to be some ‘casualties’ along the way. From the Myth Night Complex to Soi Bukhao there must be 70/80 small individual bars, the old Tesco Lotus is now a beer bar complex.
  11. I was awake with a nurse standing by with a gas and air mask, I had a few gulps when the probe ‘hit’ something tender in my intestine. There is a risk if the probe pierces the intestines, I had an IV needle in my right arm in the event the probe punctured my intestine and I required a blood transfusion.
  12. They don’t have to put you to sleep, I had one in the U.K., you have a choice, sleep or gas and air, I chose the gas and air, I only used it once during the procedure.
  13. For some reason not meant toilets in Shopping Malls have bum guns ?
  14. What documents do you need to upload to do the TM30 online.
  15. Pattaya Klang the same but where is all the traffic going to heading down to Beach Road, these can’t be tourists but day trippers. I tried to get a Baht Bus on Pattaya Tai yesterday, there wasn’t any, they used to park up at the top of Pattaya Tai but yesterday there wasn’t any, a long walk to Friendship and not one passed me in either direction ?
  16. Which Bangkok Hospital is this, not the ones in Pattaya nor Jomtien.
  17. I meant say they don’t, I had cataracts done at Bangkok Jomtien, I had to go to an independent optometrist to get prescription glasses.
  18. Do they employ Optometrists, Bangkok Pattaya nor Bangkok Jomtien do.
  19. Euro Optics in Royal Garden Plaza the lady speaks very good English, she is an optometrist.
  20. I had my cateacts a few months back at Bangkok Jomtien, neither Pattaya Bangkok or Jomtien do eye tests, I had to go to an optometrist.
  21. I will let you work it out, if you have used an agent before without having the funds in the bank.
  22. One minute they don’t allow the sale of alcohol to be sold between 2 & 5 because it might cause problems then they reduce the price of alcohol ?
  23. If the airlines can fill the flights at the current prices they are not going to reduce them, they are making up for the losses during Covid.Pre Covid my average return flight from Newcastle in the U.K. was around £500, now it can be much as double that.
