Many properties I see for rent are only advertised with the owners phone number attached to the exterior, no agents involved, my current owner does that and I know he has never returned 3 of previous tenants deposits, he has 3 properties all next to me.

I was in the Metro on Sunday, great pint of Guinness served at the right temperature not to chilled by a Thai lady who knew how pour it, 75%, let it settle then top up the other 25%.

Don’t the rent, if it’s 10000 baht a month and you have 20000 baht deposit tell the owners 2 months before you leave and don’t pay the rent for the last 2 months.

She has worked nearly 20 years so she will have a SS number, I have located the local office but for some reason she doesn’t appear interested, I give up with her now tbh, thanks all for the info.

Didn’t Anutin just remove Cannabis from the illegal drug list with out it even being discussed in Parliament ?

I have just come back from a trip to Vietnam, never seen so many motor bikes/scooters, 99,9% were wearing helmets, why because the Police enforce the laws there.

A touch of sarcasm, I live in Pattaya so I am well aware of how many outlets there are, laws are made in Thailand but never enforced. Bearing in mind there could be a few out of pocket if the law is reversed.

All this talk about getting stoned I thought the permitted levels of whatever is in cannabis which was permitted were below the levels you could get stoned on ?

All I can say she insists it isn’t and even if it is certain medical conditions aren’t covered, can some one provide a link to confirm it’s free.

Unfortunately my partner hasn’t worked for 10 years, she has no idea how to continue making monthly contributions, she keeps telling me if she needs medical treatment it’s not free, I have no way of confirming this ?

What does that entitle her to, free medical and a pension when she retires, how do you go about it ?

Thais are good liars unfortunately, we have discussed it at length, I have told her if she is sick I don’t have the funds to pay any hospital bills, her answer was I die then ! Even if it was free she says because her House Registration is in Isaan, we live in rented accommodation in Pattaya she would have to pay.

Not according to what she tells me, no contributions no free healthcare ?

As my Thai partner doesn’t work and doesn’t pay Social Security I believe she would have to pay for any medical treatment. I am looking at buying Accident and Health Insurance, she is 44 years old with no underlying health issues. can anyone recommend a reputable insurance company, we live in Pattaya ?

Is there anywhere in Central Pattaya where there is football coaching for kids, my son is 7 years old and likes kicking a ball about.

Cheap Charlie’s has just had Guinness installed currently 209 baht a pint which is very reasonable priced as I have seen a half in some bars advertised slightly less for a half pint. There appears to be fluctuating prices for a pint going from the sublime to damn right expensive. I believe the Guinness sold in Thailand is brewed in Asia, what I can’t understand is why they never sell draught Guinness in a can. I am sure there is a huge market in Thailand for it, it’s just under 5% so won’t attract a great deal of import tax ?
