  1. I live on Soi 3 of Arunotai it is one of the most dangerous roads in Pattaya more so at school times, vehicles/bikes ignore the signs and the school staff directing exiting vehicles/bikes from the gates. It’s even more dangerous for pedestrians with bikes undertaking where pedestrians where are walking. The most congested part is near the old Family Mart, vehicles/bikes come from Klang and use the side road as a rat run to 3rd Road. Yellow boxes are ignored, I don’t think most drivers know what they actually mean.
  2. I won 2000 baht the vendor won’t cash it, I went to the BAAC bank commonly known as the Farmers Bank, they said only Thai people can get money from lottery winning tickets.
  3. Metallic light fitting, wet hands etc no earth.
  4. 38 year old Thai male was electrocuted in a BBQ shop in Soi Arunotai last week when changing a light bulb.
  5. Why pay when can have it for free ? https://smarttubeapp.github.io
  6. Grumpy old foreign men in the supermarkets who get annoyed when the cashier doesn’t understand what they are saying, they forget whilst they might speak English they don’t understand accents probably the same men who rush round nearly taking your legs away with their trolley.
  7. Axa won’t cover me for either.
  8. Statins wouldn’t cause me to have an accident would they ?
  9. They refused me Health Insurance, not even with a surcharge, after I was refused Health Insurance I enquired would I be covered for Travel Insurance , no.
  10. Well AXA would only insure me for accident after I declared I was on statins.
  11. Zero as no company will insure me because I am on 20mg statins even though I have no coronary disease history, my cholesterol was 6 now 4.5 after taking the statins.
  12. They will need to hire buses to ship them all too the station then find some where to hold them.
  13. If you asked mist people what the red and white crossings mean they couldn’t tell you, it’s safer to cross at other places, I avoid them. Even the ones controlled by lights get ignored by drivers.
  14. I don’t disagree with what you say but after being with the bank since 1992 I have been more than profitable to them over years with loans, mortgages etc, I thought it was time to show a bit of loyalty back to me for all the years I have been with and never defaulted on any debts. I still have a substantial amount in the bank around 25 times more than I wanted my CC limit increased by. I am now in the process of keeping the minimal amount in my accounts so they can’t profit from me.
  15. Can you suggest a U.K. Bank where a 72 year old on State Pension can open a bank account and receive a Credit Card ?
  16. Try getting a new bank account in the U.K. and a CC card when you don’t have an income, I am aged 73 years old and on the State Pension, I recently applied for an increase £3000 on my CC, limit, it was declined, they wouldn’t tell me why even although I had been with them for over 25 years and never run debts up.

  19. I did use my CC years ago through lack of knowledge for foreign currency transactions but have now found other options, I always pay in sterling, I would never ever use it to withdraw money from an ATM at home or abroad. My U.K. bank has no foreign currency charges if I use my debit card abroad albeit the ATM here does. I was recently staying in hotel in Scotland, no cash but card transactions only, I could have challenged them but I felt comfortable enough to pay by card.
  20. My U.K. bank charges a foreign currency transaction fee of 2.99% plus a reduced exchange rate for using a credit card outwith the U.K.
  21. It was common practice in the U.K. for retailers to charge extra when using a credit card, they said it was a charge from the bank. One of the benefits of being in the EU who outlawed the charge.
  22. Can anyone recommend a an auto electrician in central Pattaya, mr car has developed a intermittent fault after being satfor 2 weeks whilst I was in the U.K.
  23. On a recent trip to the U.K. with KLM from BKK it was self check in including hold baggage, you scanned your passport the machine printed out your boarding passes and luggage labels. You attached them to your hold baggage and put the baggage on the conveyor. It this facial recognition system is a success you could pass through the airport with out any human contact
