There has been enormous expansion in Pattaya, far exceeding customer requirements.  So, I wouldn't be surprised by a contraction after Songkran.

I can’t imagine Myth Night Complex ever being shoulder to shoulder with customers, how much does one bar have to make in a month to pay the rent ?

Well, it is 'your picture' so you can see it anyway you want....  But, its clear you are uncomfortable with the situation enough to come on this forum and complain about it.

Its also clear you have no intention of resolving the issue and are not interested in taking any advice on the issue.

Perhaps you are 100% correct, the Thai Policeman told his brother to park in front of your house and deliberately block you in because they're both ignorant and racist against 'farangs'...  and they've proven that by ignoring your and signals and your wife....   :whistling:

Your the expert what action would you after approaching both people who are party to the car being parked where it is. Short of hiring a tow truck and having it towed away bearing in mind it isnt illegally parked just an inconvenience. If it was in the U.K. it would be towed away as it doesn’t have valid road tax and I assume no insurance

Originally 20 in the U.K. I volunteered for a trial, 5 doses at a higher rate of whatever they call it over around 2 weeks. Yes there were side effects over the years but nothing I couldn’t cope with apart from radiation cystitis which was very painful for a couple of weeks.

I have a quote from Chula Hospital for 29 days of radiation to the prostate for THB 10000 per session for a total course of treatment of THB 290,000.

Bangok Hospital for the 29 sessions of radiation was THB 18,000 per treatment for a total cost of THB 500,000

    All in Bangkok

I am no medical expert, I had 5 sessions on a trial, at the time it was 20 sessions of radiotherapy normally, does appear to be a lot of sessions ?

Not looking to trip you up at all Jumbo...    having started off offering advice... the story has changed a little thats all.

Perhaps the reason I am interested in this thread is that you have suggested this policeman has deliberately parked his brothers car outside of your house, because you are a foreigner.....

This is obviously making you feel uncomfortable, but you may be misinterpreting the signals...

I've been trying get a clearer picture from you, not to catch you out, but to see if this guy really is being deliberately difficult, or is simply parking in a spaces and is not thinking any more of it...  if its the latter, you have no need to feel bad about this situation and there is a simple fix.

If you are drip feeding information then its difficult to get a true picture... for example, this page is the first you've mentioned that your wife got involved at all...  thats new info...

Bigger picture, straight forward enough car blocking my access , wife spoke with Policeman I spoke with car owner, car still there end of, I don’t think any further explanation required.

Changing your story ?... You initially mentioned your wife wouldn't get involved... and now you are saying she approached the policeman, so which is it ??

And you mentioned you approached a guy with dyed hair... is it the policeman with dyed hair, or is that his 'brother' ??

You don't have to acknowledge my questions of course and ignore me (just I like I do with PJ71) - It seems you're not bothered about resolving the issue anyway which makes me wonder why you bothered posting in the first place, unless all you wanted to do was post a rant about Thai's being ignorant.

But... it is interesting that now you say you have received 'two' negative responses from two different people... this is the first mention of this in 7 pages of this thread.

With 7 pages of comments it’s difficult to keep track of what I have said, nothing worse that some looking to trip you up on some thing you may have or not have said. You must have spent forever trolling through the 7 pages of comments looking to troll me.

Detective Dicky is now on the case, all will be resolved soon.

And I am not even going bother to answer his questions as it won’t make any difference, my wife approached the Policeman I approached the car owner and got negative replies from both.

  8. When I had radiotherapy 6 years ago in the U.K. for Prostate Cancer I took part in a trial called PACE where you only had 5 sessions of radiotherapy over a period of 2 weeks, initially it was 1 week but they reverted to 2 weeks.with no hormone treatment. Prior to that it was 20 sessions, I don’t know how long for though but you also had hormone treatment. I  believe now the NHS are going to adopt this method as it was deemed a success,

  9. Lazada has refunded my money a few times to my bank account when I pointed out I couldn’t have a Lazada Wallet. If you call them they send you email, you reply to the email with a copy of your passport and bank account details, the money is usually in the bank after a couple of days.

You described a guy with dyed hair...  and then talk about 'the fella'....

Is 'the fella' with dyed hair actually the guy who lives down the road ?...   is this the man you are calling the Policeman's brother...

You are not being very clear.

My wife spoke to the Policeman, he said it was his brothers car but as we know here brother can just be Thai terminology for a relation or friend.

LL is correct... Its not an isolated incident from the perspective of having issue with neighbours.

...And this itself could be the issue...     Your own perspective is out of whack, you are seeing this as a direct affront to you, rather than what it could be, someone just parking their car on the road in a spot they think is free....

But.. it seems you'll find any reasoning to consider this an act of targeted ignorance and avoid dealing with a very simple issue.

Of course it’s an isolated incident the other one occurred over 5 years ago at a different property, we don’t go out picking fights withe neighbours every other week.

For god sake, what a load of old <deleted> this entire topic is.

Go talk to the family. be polite explain the issue. Unless they have consciously decided they want to screw you over, they will move the damn car.

There is no family, Policeman is living on his own,  my wife spoke to about the car and he just replied it’s his brothers, not sure he has moved in with him. I asked the fella to move it but he blanked me.

    This one?

Wether the foreigner was right or wrong there is no need to resort too violence, the little girls was hysterical and the Thai fella was still threatening the old fella obviously had no compassion, what he had done to offend the Thai fella, brave man when his friends were with him.

Any other country and the Thai fella who throw the punch would have been cuffed and thrown in a police van.

Do you mean that it is actually impossible to enter or exit your driveway, or just that it requires an inconvenient maneuver on your part, and you resent the imposition? Have you tried to pull in and out, and what happened when you tried? Thai people are generally pretty reasonable (including off duty cops), and if the car is truly blocking, as opposed to just annoying you, they would understand the dilemma. But if it's just a bit too close for your comfort, but not literally blocking you, then just get over it. If, on the other hand, the neighbors truly dislike your household for some reason, then the unmoved car is a deliberate message that you are unwelcome and should go away.

It’s parked 50% in front of mt gate which is a tight squeeze to start with, there a a raised manhole about 18 inches high for the well water which restricts the entrance to start with.

TBH I  don’t always bring the car inside as I was constantly being blocked in by cars but at least I would like to be able to park my car outside my own property and come and go as please.

Classy...  I'm getting a better idea of the neighbourhood..   But.. if it works it resolves a further issue.

That said, the guy now thinks the parking space is his...  So IF he drives the car away and returns, he will be offended IF you've claimed his parking space and marked it with your tyres...

The Option in this case (IMO)... If he drives the car away, park your car there for a few weeks....  and then reclaim with with tyres a little later on.

That’s my intention, I don’t use the car on a daily basis only for out of town runs to relatives and days out. I am going to sit it out until that time.

If he's unwilling to step up himself, this is another move, but could ultimately back fire as it shows he is weak.

That said, his wife was hit by different neighbour in a previous house...  that the aggressor is still walking is an indication that the Op is either quite old or is simply very timid and will not face up to any conflict.

I'm just curious Jumbo..  how old are you ?...    no disrespect, if someone hits your wife how can you not respond ?

You're both making decisions based on an imagined worst case scenario reaction.

Nothing to do with age, in the previous incident the Thai neighbours told me not to get involved as they had called the Police. If I had give the guy a hiding it would been spun round to say foreigner beat man up, then what would that have led to, court case etc.

IF he steps up and manages to resolve this issue... one option would be to place his own cones there.

I already have a couple tyres ready for his move, it appears round here it’s what people do to reserve their parking place outside their property, people respect it.

  18. I don’t want direct confrontation with a Thai wether officially or unofficially neither does my Thai wife, it could end in a bad way,  we have been down that road before. TBH I am not looking for suggestions or a solution just pointing out how ignorant some one can be. I am sure if he did park in front of a Thai owned house some thing would be said but he thinks he can do what he wants because a foreigner lives there knowing nothing can be done about.
