I see Dr. Supaktra Jetsadapattarakul, a podiatrist at Golden Jubilee Medical Center, which in in Salaya, about 25km west of downtown Bangkok.
She prescribes Ottobock insoles/orthotics, and the Ottobock technician fits you at the hospital, but the tech/rep only comes once or twice a month for fittings. They fit you with the step-in molds, make them, and then ship them to you in a week or two. You pay after you get them. You have to bring/wear the shoes you want fitted with you.
I go to the clinic every two months to have my calluses and nails trimmed, and I see the doctor ever-other visit. I am supposed to get fitted for insoles for a new pair of shoes at my next visit.
The last insoles I got were B3,000 a few years ago. I think you can buy them direct, but they are supposed to be much more expensive if you do, but I have no idea. The doctor visit is about B100, and about 500 to have the calluses and nails trimmed.
I have been wearing orthotics off and on since 1989, and I think the Ottobocks are the best I've had.
