It is to be run the same way a CEO runs a company. I think the idea of defunding departments is to reduce the debt. Right now, the debt is funded by short-term bond (thank you Biden-Yellen) and it will have to be refunded at a higher rate, which Trump will get blamed for. The Department of Education is a scourge on our society, it should be burned to the ground and the earth beneath it salted. Do not delete it. Keep a skeleton crew to issue block grants to states.
