  1. I have a "new" house I need to renovate, and I want to add an outbuilding that includes a mechanical room. Is anyone using an easy to use, reasonably priced windows software for doing simple designs and "3D" renderings that include dimensioning? Also, does can anyone recommend someone that does architectural renderings from photos to compare different color schemes on the house? Any recommendations for construction, electrical, plumbing and or AC contractors in the Pinklao/Taling Chan area of Bangkok would be appreciated.
  2. They also cook much faster and more completely. I would much rather have a burger that extend out if the bun, than a ball in the middle of the bun and a burger that looks like it will fall over.
  3. If you are going to do the work yourself anyway, unless you are sure they are rusted out, and not just leaking, the first thing you should do is pressure-wash out the old gutters and inspect them. It might just be seams leaking of even overflowing.
  4. Not at cheap as the plastic gutters, but you can get galvanized, stainless and (I think) aluminum gutters roll-formed to length, at site. The only seams are at the corners and downspouts.
  5. If one is concerned about price, I think the primary concern of any capital investment should be the maintenance costs. Much like a wife...
  6. Unless I'm missing something, why not use the new union with a reducer? Pictures of what you want to do would help.
  7. Facebook marketplace has a bunch. You can also rent them Are you going to dig septic for the batroom?
  8. After all the disappointments, I've gone to straight pork. With beef, a coarser grind and a lot of fat typically makes for a good burger that binds well. For all burgers, I like to smash patty thin (I use wax paper and a plate) cook them hot and they plump and juice-up nice. I think ground beef really needs a good bit of salt to bring out the flavor.
  9. My Krunsri app quit working wanting me to confirm my mobile number. I just had to turn off the wifi, and push confirm.
  10. Has any work been done on the vehicle? Do we have any idea how long it has been leaking? Could be the water pump leaking and making the noise, but the noise may or may not be related to the leak. How tight is the belt? I would oil the tensioning pulley and see it the noise changes before I pulled the water-pump. It's been a long time since I had a water pump go out, but as I remember, once they get noisy, they do not last long.
  11. Have the engine cleaned, drive a few kms and look for leaks.
  12. Did the French not start Vietnam?
  13. Non-Mexicans can legally be compelled to stay in Mexico until they are approved. Asylum seekers do not get to choose which country they go to. Again, no one is attempting to block admission of qualified refugees. The truth is that no legislation was needed to close the border. Biden opened it intentionally, and Trump closed it back up in a couple weeks.
  14. I do not think it needs as much money to run as it has been. Every administration, with the possible exception of Biden's has run on cutting waste and fraud and closing the border. This administration meant it.
  15. Do you think Trump and Musk are tax evaders? Using AI I think and e-file I think with Musk in charge every return will be audited.
  16. We do not know that, to say as much is to lie. It worked out well. The middle class paid less while tax revenues went up.
  17. 500 miles were built in his first term, and Mexico did pay for it with Trump's remain in Mexico policy.
  18. Generally, VAT is collected on a product at each stage value is added to that product. You pay VAT to buy irone ore to make steel. You pay VAT to buy steel to make screws. You pay VAT to buy screws to make furniture. You pay VAT when you buy furniture. Generally, sales tax is only collected on the finished product and or at the retail level, and manufacturers would typically be exempt from paying sales tax on materials they use in production. Also, when you import something into the US for resale, you do not pay a sales tax. The sales tax is collected when it is sold retail. When you import something into a country like Thailand, you pay the VAT on the import, and the end user pays it again to the retailer. Also, in the US, sales taxes are state and local, not federal. Some states have sales taxes, some don't. Some counties or cities have sales taxes in addition to state sales taxes.
  19. We know where you stand. I can wait until the tariff debacle shakes out before I pass judgement. So far, I am pretty happy with the way most everything else seems to be going.
  20. How do you know he's changing it?
  21. So? If retirees were not able to afford to live in the US they would all move. How many are moving? And clearly, it's not the poorest that are moving. I think it more likely those that move, think they can live better on the same dough somewhere else.
  22. Lame. Poor people buy used clothes or get them free from the sally or whatnot. And they are buying new applicants for their HUD housing? You're a hoot.
