Root canal and a filling. Gold is the best, and most expensive crown material. I have one forty years old. Came off once about ten years ago and had it glued back on, no problem. One day is not realistic. After the root canal they'll do a medicated filling and if needed, a temporary crown. Once they're sure it's okay, they'll fill or crown it.
