Did you not read there are many breakthrough cases in USA, UK and Israel? You can google for it or watch in Youtube for the evidence.
Vaccine doesn't prevent you from being infected, it prevents you from being hospitalized with severe illness.
What is important is that all the passengers were supposed to be Covid negative when boarding the place.
It goes to show that negative Covid cert & fully vacc cert can be bought or faked.
Interesting you immediately come to the conclusion that the certs are fake rather than some issue with the testing procedure.
What on earth does fully vaxxed mean anyway?

Well then be a bit more particular about where you eat. But I will tell you something about that if you're that concerned about food poisoning than stay away from meat products. Fruit and vegetables really shouldn't make you ill even if the environment is a bit unsanitary.
Majority of food poisoning comes from contamination in the preparation stages and is often found on the uncooked parts of the food.
Ive watched the women in Hua hin's food hall and as they move the raw chicken to the fryer often bits of the chicken juice drip off and often land on the salad or in this case the basket of limes, which then decorate the finished dish.
You wont get food poisoning from cooked meats. I generally avoid anything that is not cooked if its in the vicinity of raw meat products

You CAN test as Positive on a PCR Test up to 90 days after you have had COVID-19.
That would seriously ruin someone's vacation if they landed, then tested Positive.
That's not quite true, your two posts here are hyping up the situation with sensualistic comments that just do little more than inflame the situation and posters on here.
If in the UK as an example if you test positive you just isolate for 5 - 7 days then you can go back out again into the general public. Thats it no more testing nothing.
Of course Thailand might be slightly different but the whole situation is not quite as worrysome as you make out.

@Ty Hareways don't forget to factor in what happens if one passenger on the flight or cabin crew test positive.
I assume it's quarantine for all at one's own expense depending on the T&C of of the insurance policy (if you are not the positive one).
Only those sat close to the positive one have to then quarantine, think about within 3 rows.
Staff unaffected and dont have to isolate
-
If you test positive in the UK, you then just have to isolate for 7 days.
After that you can go back out.
Do not take another covid test after the 7 days as you will more than likely test positive again due to to it still being in your system.
This is official advise from the government as some of my family have caught covid (symptoms were very mild)
Not sure if its the same in Thailand?

the first case in phuket was only 12 passengers seating the closest to positive were also quarantined.
Not the whole airplane and not crew.
Some of those 12 wanted to go back to their country as soon as possible. That probably was denied for them
Surely based on the controls and regulations in place at the monent the stewards on board should have isolated if they were serving the positive ones, if not why not?

Make the effort and read this through. As a vaccinated person you can fly around within the EU in almost all cases without having to do a corvit test before.
Rubbish, you cannot travel around the EU freely. Of course some countries you can move between but the countries completely freely, no.

Rubbish. In Israel, hospitalisations have dropped right down after an initial surge. And it's still the unvaccinated most at risk.
After an intitial surge, why the surge? Figures are still high even if there is a drop.
They began administrating a 4th booster shot nearly 2 months ago, hence the surge as you put it.

Oh dear.
Vaccinated people can fly to the beaches of the southern EU countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France) without having to do a Corvit test before within the EU (with very few exceptions (Bulgaria)). That is a fact.
It doesn't hurt to look like other countries, which are equally dependent on tourism, have resolved the revival of their tourism with which rules and how.
Who can fly to the beaches of southern Europe?
Take Czech republic as an example, where can you fly without a covid test before departure?
You cant.

You imply that having no test is a terrible thing and is "no problem" Well we can se cant we how many turn up in November to play musical chairs before they scrap the whole stupid plan and revert to the simplest option, vaccinated only.
A vaccinated person can fly back and forth within the EU without a test. This year the southern EU countries (Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal) had quite good tourist numbers. For example, Greece achieved 85.7% of the season's values of the previous record year 2019 in the months of July and August.
Can they get on a flight without a test?
You cannot travel freely within the EU without testing.
Im really not sure where you get your info from but its really not correct

Un vaccinated kids giving it to their parents who then carry on just fine as theyve been vaccinated, the unvaccinated parents end up in hospital, plenty of you tube bumf on that from credible doctors
you do know that in the UK nearly 90% of adults with young children have already had 2 jabs.
So im presuming its the 10% with no jabs that are in hospital?
Trust me if this was the case it would be peddled by the media and we would all know about it.

Not vaccinated, no entry and not boarding a plane.
That doesn't work, really its getting tiresome but please do some basic research and what the vaccine does.
Some folks have had 2 jabs, some in Israel have had 4, whats fully vaccinated even mean?
How long does one shot offer you protection?
At what point do you need the 3rd booster?
No one can answer this, because we were told the vaccines keep you out of hospital not stop you from getting it or passing it on.
However the countries that now have the highest vaccination rates also now have the highest hospitlization rates! Explain that one!?

Ever heard of KISS principle?
only fully vaccinated people are allowed to fly into thailand
eliminate all the BS esp tested again after arrival and one night hotel stay….
they will learn from their mistakes….give it a month when they can’t figure out why tourists aren’t coming
No ones coming because there's nothing open.

Look at Crowe's Twitter feed and his posts about Thailand - he is loving it. Perhaps he is genuinely enjoying Thailand, enjoying the Thai warmth, the hospitality, just like he says. The story of that policeman went around the world - BBC, CNN, national newspapers globally. Perhaps Crowe saw the story - as did millions of people - and asked to meet him. Ever thought about that?
Once again, horrible negativity and cynicism by the TVF populace. Quite sad. Do you honestly think Russel Crowe had not seen this story and the Thai police just asked him to pose with the guy and call him his hero? And he just agreed?Sometimes good news stories are just good news stories. Get a life and feel some positivity.
Its not a whole host of negativity, yes of course these actors and celebrities have to do things and say things that they are told to.....its called promotion.
Just looks like a total set up to me and thats the way things are done the majority of the time.
I am not expecting Crowe's twitter feed to be filled with negativity about the country he is filming in, regardless of his personal point of view.
Maybe he twitter previously mentioned this Thai guy previously!? No thought not, no hes never heard of him before.....

FWIW, my mate's English boss and family will be visiting Thailand again as soon as things improve and they will be retaining the services of my mate's favorite ladyboy as nanny but more of a guide.
Yes, the ladyboy is 'on the game' and getting paid for it when there's no opportunity to be a nanny and bills need paying but she's not 'on the game' when she's doing the chaperoning and child minding and getting paid for it.
It's got buggerall to do what they do. You can't switch off being a human being after all.
Chances are your well-heeled Aussie family are like me, my mate, his boss and the ladyboy and have an open mind.
Yes mate you crack on hiring ladyboys that are on the game as nannies for your friends children!

A mate of mine had his favorite ladyboy as babysitter for his boss and his family when they came to Thailand for their summer holidays. The only complaint his boss had was it was hard to get their 'nanny' to let go of the pram.
It's possible the family you observed appreciate that a 'prossy' is primarily a human being, even the Thai ones?
Then again, you're the one that brought up the question of ignorance.
She was on the game, yes humans are on the game and also exist in all countries, however in most countries you do not tour your family through the red light district.
The point being the well heeled Australian family had no idea she was on the game and where almost oblivious to what was going on on around them. As said its a very surreal experience to see and i think most people are unaware just how much prostitution goes on.
To your point what wrong with a lady boy looking after your children?
Its not who they are its what they do. Was the ladyboy in question on the game also?
Frankly if the Australian family saw her actions after they left they would have been somewhat horrified and she would not longer be looking after their children on their next holiday.

Will it make Thailand a bad place to bring your family on holiday if the sex industry is gone or vastly reduced?
Just askin'
Its a very strange / surreal experience wondering through the red light districts of Thailand and seeing / passing plenty of European families with young children in tow actively looking around. You dont get this is other countries.
Ive even seen a family hire a prostitute as a baby sitter, i belive the family had no idea she was on the game and even after their holiday hey brought the prossy a gift and more money. I wonder how they would have felt if they knew what she normally got up to, anyway ignorance is bliss juts find it a bit strange why you would bring family to the redlight areas.

It's safe to assume Russell has no idea about this guy before he came to Thailand.
The awkward level of cross promotion is actually hard to read......"yeh this will bring in the tourists, they'll all want to meet this Thai guy now that rusell crowe has said he's his hero. This type of propaganda might work on kids but to subject this as actual story is pretty laughable.

What a terrible article, just shows how the media love to fiddle the numbers!
Correct title for this;
''A 3 month season berry picking in Finland can earn you more than what an unskilled worker could earn in Thailand in a year.''
But i guess that sort of tile doesn't get people arguing and bickering on the Internet lol
Don't be played by the media.
Finland also imported 400 Thais this year with covid, so doubt those ones got anywhere near the 4,000 bucks
-
Actually quite difficult to read a title like that.
A few years ago my father had a stroke whilst in Thailand and was admitted to Bangkok hospital where he then had a further heart attack (so we believe) then then had to fit a tube in his throat (tracheotomy) in order to keep water off his lungs. Whilst in ICU he arms were tied to the the side of the bed and he had no free movement. After 3 weeks the doctor said we could organise a stretcher plane from Bankgkok to UK and get him back to a hospital there.
The Thai doctors had indicated that the tracheotomy had to stay indefinitely. When he arrived in UK the UK doctors were appaled that he was allowed to travel and it would seem that he was pretty close to death upon arrival back to the UK, the doctors were also bemused about some of the things that were done to him and also questioned some of the treatment that he had had. They also informed after one week that they would take the tube out of his throat, and allow it to heal and hopefully he could then get his voice back.
The one month 'care' in Thailand cost around £60 k, including the flight home and care during flight etc and as mentioned the doctors were pretty horrified at the methods of care used on my father, i was going to sue however tbh didnt want to go through all of that.
Shortly after this a lawyer that i knew in Hua hin had another client end up in Intensive care and i was asked to help as the lady in hospital had no relatives or friends to contact and could i help transfer some money from her UK account. I was being asked this whilst the lady in ICU was signing document that seemed to cover her ownership of her condo, which i later presumed was being signed over!! (yes sounds dodgy bu t i was trying to help) I was asked to collect the women's bag from her condo and use the details to transfer money from her account in UK to Thailand. Upon returning with her bag to the hospital she was now gone! I was told that had to move her to Bangkok as better facilities there. This whole thing felt very weird and i wish i wasnt involved as i was now on camera going into the womens appartment and taking her bag! I asked the staff to forward her bag on, however they would have nothing to do with it and wouldnt assist at all in helping, so i was now stuck with this womens bag!
I felt i couldn't really trust anyone there but also could question their methods.

Can't compare the Hamptons to Hua Hin! Other than they both start with H that's where the similarities end.
Beach front properties will always be in demand however there are not many available in hua hin.
There's plenty of resorts out of town for sale but overpriced and pretty tacky type places which certainly won't attract Thais that have money.
Here’s why Hua Hin has received ZERO arrivals from foreign tourists
in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
No ones in Hua Hin because not many people go to Hua Hin.
