If you were buying in 2013 there is no way it would be possible to invest more than what is already earned.
80% of this time since 2013 the price has been under 9k.
I brought 100 bucks (24,000 xrp) of ripple in 2013 and exchanged it for 3.5 btc in 2017. Just as an example.
if i have a spare 2k come up then it goes back into btc, I brought nothing between 2015 and 2019, as at that point its future was still unclear, however this last 2 years of government money printing and the approval of ETF's in certain countries has led me to think its still a good hedge.-

There are people who do not understand anything in the underlying technology, for whom "the crypto jargon is confusing", for whom thinking more than three thoughts in a row gives a headache, and for whom the phrase "do your own research" means nothing but "watch YouTube advisors", and who seriously "invest" in obvious scam tokens ↓ ↓ ↓
-- I was talking about that kind of people. But if your IQ is above 70 then you could really make a good buck in crypto.
Nothing to do with IQ, people can see we have an archaic monetary system and the only possible alternative 'money' supply option is bitcoin, so fairly easy to buy something that is also a new asset class. Thats it, you dont need to study crypto you tube or anything like that or have a degree in economics.
Some billionaires have invested but so have lots of autistic people
Overthink things and you could talk yourself out of investing.
Of course im biased as im set up for life now, however im still buying and not left the scene.

I invested in bitcoin in 2013 and contiune to buy today yes even at prices of 65,000, why? because its better store of value than it sitting in the bank..
Look around at all the people now taking part of their paycheck in bitcoin.
Mayor of Miami is taking next 3 pay check in btc and also mayor elect.
Numerous US sports stars from the NFL.
They use a system designed by strike and is not available outside of the US at the moment but surely will be in the next couple of years.
Whilst we print endless amounts of money, you need to be taking some sort of hedge imo

There's a thread on this forum here that i posted on a couple of years ago, when the price of btc was around 5,000 usd and we had the same sort of comments then, you will lose everything! dont invest, its a ponzi type scheme etc.
However since then the crypto market cap has increased by over 2 trillion dollars and will continue to increase over time.
Unfortunately most of the posters have sour grapes becuase they knew about cryptos years ago but failed to invest and now they continue to knock it

it's going to be brutal and you need to understand that 5K is at risk for a 100% loss
that's how you learn cryptos, lose your first 10K before you can make your first 10K ????
How much did you lose investing in cryptos?
What a strange post, so someones looking to get into a new market / a new asset class and your advise is...........''if you don't know, you don't know. Nobody is going to tell you how or teach you how''
If you have no experience in a subject, why post advise on the thread?
In terms of investing i've always kept it simple, its important to remember that if your money is not making more than 10% per year you are actually loosing money, or certainly purchasing power.
Leaving your money in a bank its literally the wort thing you can do, i remember when we were young and told to save money.....basically the worst bit of advise you could have taken in the last 30 years is to save money.
Stick the money into bitcoin, its got to be better than loosing money in a bank account, plus if you are in a 3rd world country that money is at risk of it being taken away from you, or at least part of it by the central banks, as has happened already.

To the people saying Bangkok will be undrwater in 5 10 or 15 years, im more than happy to bet that this does not happen.
Thailand the country where every year it gets confused as to why their reservoirs are over flowing during the rainy season and then come the dry season there is a water shortage! Every year now im no climate expert or water enthuasiast but perhaps a couple more reservoirs would potentially help bother annual issues that seem to happen.
The best is when they turn off the water to the poor communities but still water the golf course that's up the road!
Its 85 % theatrical!

Northern Cyprus seems to me an excellent idea also because you don't want to buy there and anywhere, the place is cheap and beautiful, if you no like is easy change another place in Europe.
Don't leave your money in a Cypriot bank account, can remember a few years back when the IMF and Central bank told them to fleece money from peoples bank account.
Your bank account savings were subject to a tax varying from 9% upto 60% depending what type of account and how much money you had in there.
The money was just taken from your account you had no jurisdiction over the money.
Interestingly this is the same all over the world, when you put put money in 'your' account you are not making a deposit, as such, rather you are actually lending the money to the bank, so its theres to do what they want with.
Of course in some developed Countries the government does cover upto about 80,000 pounds of whatever you have in your accounts.
Banks do not take deposits nor do they lend money. (Technically by law defintion)
They borrow your money and actually create money in the form of a 'loan'

Obviously Switzerland and many other countries do not have the same unconditional love and blind (misplaced?) trust of China that Mr. Anutin and others in this administration have. The people of Thailand have been made to suffer because of his actions and inaction. It's good to see that he's experiencing some of that as well.
Thailand does as China says, its always been the case and will continue to do so.
Just like Thailand woukd not sign the COP26 agreement, despite travelling all the way to Scotland.

Yes. Not wishing to be rude, but she appears to be not particularly attractive. Older and quite fat. I wonder how she competes with the twenty something slim and cute girls. Must have very low prices.
Good luck to her though.
Having personally probably spent too much time in these sort of areas, i always found is surprising that everyone seems to get a go.
Even what you might describe as rough, will generally pick up some sort of customer at some point.

I don't really care how much someone spends, but having no insurance that is a problem. (unless a big amount of savings)
The reason we are now have to come up with proof of insurance is because people have not been able to pay bills or did runners. You see it pop up in Thaivisa a lot.
I think its because in a lot of countries in Europe there is insurance because you pay taxes. So they are not used to paying for medical insurance and then when they start is a lot of money. A lot of people from the UK also seem to think its easy to fly back when something happens and they can be treated home so no need of insurance. Unfortunately it does not always work that way.
Thing is by people skipping out and breaking these rules we all suffer. Because now everyone has to prove insurance. You can thank those who skipped on bills for that.
Insurance is not going to stop someone retiring to Thailand, most people in fact almost all of the retired people will have Insurance.
Considering all the other issues that are going on in Thailand, insurance is hardly a deal breaker, when you are considering somewhere to spend the rest of your life.
Do you work as an agent for insurance or something......whats with the 'its all the people who skip payments that make it worse for the rest of us decent ones'. Give me a break please.

You have got to question this whole situation.
In what dystopian world do we send someone to hospital for 10 days when they have no symptoms.
Especially when we are told the hospitals are potentially under pressure.
Hospitals are for treating the sick, not as a hotel for people that have nothing wrong with them.

Getting to the point now where it becomes a bit tiresome with their inept repetitiveness.
Its no way to live amongst these wallies.
Although i have pictures of friends in other bars in pattaya from few days ago and there were plenty of bottles of Leo on the table, yet you read rubbish like the above topic.
Corrupt and bizarre.

Did you not read there are many breakthrough cases in USA, UK and Israel? You can google for it or watch in Youtube for the evidence.
Vaccine doesn't prevent you from being infected, it prevents you from being hospitalized with severe illness.
What is important is that all the passengers were supposed to be Covid negative when boarding the place.
It goes to show that negative Covid cert & fully vacc cert can be bought or faked.
Interesting you immediately come to the conclusion that the certs are fake rather than some issue with the testing procedure.
What on earth does fully vaxxed mean anyway?

Well then be a bit more particular about where you eat. But I will tell you something about that if you're that concerned about food poisoning than stay away from meat products. Fruit and vegetables really shouldn't make you ill even if the environment is a bit unsanitary.
Majority of food poisoning comes from contamination in the preparation stages and is often found on the uncooked parts of the food.
Ive watched the women in Hua hin's food hall and as they move the raw chicken to the fryer often bits of the chicken juice drip off and often land on the salad or in this case the basket of limes, which then decorate the finished dish.
You wont get food poisoning from cooked meats. I generally avoid anything that is not cooked if its in the vicinity of raw meat products

You CAN test as Positive on a PCR Test up to 90 days after you have had COVID-19.
That would seriously ruin someone's vacation if they landed, then tested Positive.
That's not quite true, your two posts here are hyping up the situation with sensualistic comments that just do little more than inflame the situation and posters on here.
If in the UK as an example if you test positive you just isolate for 5 - 7 days then you can go back out again into the general public. Thats it no more testing nothing.
Of course Thailand might be slightly different but the whole situation is not quite as worrysome as you make out.

@Ty Hareways don't forget to factor in what happens if one passenger on the flight or cabin crew test positive.
I assume it's quarantine for all at one's own expense depending on the T&C of of the insurance policy (if you are not the positive one).
Only those sat close to the positive one have to then quarantine, think about within 3 rows.
Staff unaffected and dont have to isolate

If you test positive in the UK, you then just have to isolate for 7 days.
After that you can go back out.
Do not take another covid test after the 7 days as you will more than likely test positive again due to to it still being in your system.
This is official advise from the government as some of my family have caught covid (symptoms were very mild)
Not sure if its the same in Thailand?
