Thailand's Cannabis Industry Faces Uncertain Future Amid Government Review
Hummin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Please elaborate, thai gangsters as army and police? No mafia without any of their support. As for the Pattaya dispensary I rest my case. “Most of my customers are tourists buying cannabis for recreational use. This change could drastically impact our business,” he said. -
Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?

Isn't that a good cause? No reason to move to a rural place if no lady. Family is a great value for us, and gives us alot of freedom, but I understand there is many who do not have the same feeling or experience. If I didnt meet my wife 8 years ago, I most likely not been in Thailand anymore. 15 years travelling there was enough, and I already decided this was it, and had other plans So if it was not for the ladies, who would have been living in Thailand? Same same -

I have met a few foreigners who invested big, and do not do as local, sleep on the farmland when there is fish or crops ready to be harvested. Or more useal, investing in a family to be self sufficent, and they never had anything from before, or never had responsibility or the drive to to something for themselves. They often fail, claim they get robbed, pests atacks, and more. One I met, told me he invested in a large full scale fishing pond, used millions, just to be left with an empty pond each time they got some decent sized fish ready to sell. Why? Because he did not understand the family was not capable to run and protect what was theirs, be it lack of respect in the community, afraid of ghosts (a serious problem for many), or maybe sold the fish, and said it was stolen. -

The art of happy living, is to have an decent base, and be able to travel as much as necessary to ease off the different seasons. My experience, all places have bad seasons, so what to do? Rule nr 1 Dont get stuck one place -

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Hummin replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
What do you mean? It is not about like or not, war is a tragedy for every part, and not only for the countries involved, also neighbouring countries suffering, as well europeens and Europe. We are constantly fed propaganda, and everyone should try to understand what is really happening, and not only read headlines or news designed and placed for manipulate opinions. For every war, most fall in to it, so really it doesnt going to change now either. Every tool necessary will be used to feed the war mongering on both sides as long as possible. This tread is a perfect example of what I mean if you go back and read from the very beginning. -

Thank you for your confused emotion, but to be fair, it is easy to believe those numbers is necessary propaganda for Americans to continue continue their support, and have the voters satisfied. You cant have a healthy debate, if questions is not asked! The numbers of casualties is all over the place, and to be true is it realistic numbers for both sides? -

There is older spacey appartments along Phetkasem road to Khao Takiap that have sea view, and great balcony space that I would choose instead of houses be it soi 102, 94 or 88.

Well, this kind of relation is poison, and as said, when you choose the girl, you also choose the family. -
In the beginning when I trawling alone, I occasionally found a good lady who I communicated well with, who also happened to be free to travel on short notice, and also with no strings attached. Great experience to learn about them and their life. Also who provided me with appartment, transport, as well who was experienced travelling with foreigners. Be it freelancers or bar girls, some of them is easy going and happy to travel with you. Tried to book separate rooms in the beginning, but I learned they where either concerned I spent to much money, or the most common reason, afraid of ghosts. One obvious rule, you do not ask the wildest party girls if you are not up for heavy drinking and drama. The girls I travelled with for longer time, be it weeks, or a month, did not drink, or very little, exercised, swimming, climbing, scuba, hiking, kayaking, so choose carefully if you choose to go on the roads with girls. Neer had one bad experience, only good memories. Just remember to give them fair amount money for their parents,,,,,,,,,, Food, clothes, travel, is not salery, so be fair.

Most crimes is done by police and their boys (drugs) and family relation violence. Theft of fish and crops, stealing wood, illegal hunting, Never experienced anything either, but we have 3 dogs, and if we are not there, her parents live at our place 24/7. Always one at our farm. Not me or m gf decision, but her parents, and Im happy they feel that responsibility for our farm and us. Since day one when we started to build, her father slept on location, and built his little bamboo shelter to sleep. Two stray dogs kept him with company, and are now two of our trusted guardian dogs. -
Good social skills, awareness, patience and good at using travel apps and internet for local information while travelling is all you need. Or a personal guide 😀 I understand some thai after many years, but choosed not to speak, or learn to speak, except a few limited basic words to get around. One rule or common sense just to keep yourself out of trouble or save you for some frustration, if you find a gf, find someone you can communicate with.
