Spain was not so unlike Thailand before it got to expensive and cheaper tickets became available for thailand. Since 2000 it have just become worse for every year in my opinion, and maybe the covid situation and the weaker western valuta have taken a toll on some of the more vulnerable. We will see how it goes, and maybe Cambodia will be the next destination for those who feel they fall out in Thailand. I still prefer old style free weights and machines just because of the feeling, but powerbands, the more I get used to them, the more I like it, and the older I get, I know I cant continue lifting heavy, because of the toll it takes on my joints. I have a complete set of elastic power bands at our holiday home that works excellent. Many different youtube instruction videos show all necessary exercises. Also built myself a power band stand I can do many different exercises included squats and dead lifts, pluss a bench where I can anchor the bands and do "bench" presses. Hua Hin is ok during rain season, still there is some fooding dowtown, and swimming at the beach is not very tempting. A jellyfish stung me during rain season, and that was the last swim I did there. But if not swimming Hua Hin is ok. What you looking for ?
