Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Hummin replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
What do you mean? It is not about like or not, war is a tragedy for every part, and not only for the countries involved, also neighbouring countries suffering, as well europeens and Europe. We are constantly fed propaganda, and everyone should try to understand what is really happening, and not only read headlines or news designed and placed for manipulate opinions. For every war, most fall in to it, so really it doesnt going to change now either. Every tool necessary will be used to feed the war mongering on both sides as long as possible. This tread is a perfect example of what I mean if you go back and read from the very beginning. -

Thank you for your confused emotion, but to be fair, it is easy to believe those numbers is necessary propaganda for Americans to continue continue their support, and have the voters satisfied. You cant have a healthy debate, if questions is not asked! The numbers of casualties is all over the place, and to be true is it realistic numbers for both sides? -

There is older spacey appartments along Phetkasem road to Khao Takiap that have sea view, and great balcony space that I would choose instead of houses be it soi 102, 94 or 88.

Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?

Well, this kind of relation is poison, and as said, when you choose the girl, you also choose the family. -
In the beginning when I trawling alone, I occasionally found a good lady who I communicated well with, who also happened to be free to travel on short notice, and also with no strings attached. Great experience to learn about them and their life. Also who provided me with appartment, transport, as well who was experienced travelling with foreigners. Be it freelancers or bar girls, some of them is easy going and happy to travel with you. Tried to book separate rooms in the beginning, but I learned they where either concerned I spent to much money, or the most common reason, afraid of ghosts. One obvious rule, you do not ask the wildest party girls if you are not up for heavy drinking and drama. The girls I travelled with for longer time, be it weeks, or a month, did not drink, or very little, exercised, swimming, climbing, scuba, hiking, kayaking, so choose carefully if you choose to go on the roads with girls. Neer had one bad experience, only good memories. Just remember to give them fair amount money for their parents,,,,,,,,,, Food, clothes, travel, is not salery, so be fair.

Most crimes is done by police and their boys (drugs) and family relation violence. Theft of fish and crops, stealing wood, illegal hunting, Never experienced anything either, but we have 3 dogs, and if we are not there, her parents live at our place 24/7. Always one at our farm. Not me or m gf decision, but her parents, and Im happy they feel that responsibility for our farm and us. Since day one when we started to build, her father slept on location, and built his little bamboo shelter to sleep. Two stray dogs kept him with company, and are now two of our trusted guardian dogs. -
Good social skills, awareness, patience and good at using travel apps and internet for local information while travelling is all you need. Or a personal guide 😀 I understand some thai after many years, but choosed not to speak, or learn to speak, except a few limited basic words to get around. One rule or common sense just to keep yourself out of trouble or save you for some frustration, if you find a gf, find someone you can communicate with.

Or tweets 24000 during his presidency. A man who would work for his country and not play golf,

Not so much for those who live in Isaan. My experience expats invest far more in the families than they are asked to do. Personally I feel I get more back than I give. Still, there is many who do not know better, and fall in love with the wrong woman, with problem families. Thats the main mistake.- 166 replies

There is people with a different drive than others, often creative who always finds solutions, and when get bored, find something else. The whole point is not to get stuck. Should be mandatory rule for everyone no matter where you settle in Thailand. I rather live in Isaan than Pattaya or Bangkok, so people are different. Even if I settled on an Island, I think Im better off in Isaan, since we have normal working days, and go for holiday when we feel the need. I almost settled in Hua Hin, but happy I did not spend 10 mill on an appartment there as my plan Was. Instead invested 2 mill in my wife total for farm, land, and have the freedom to travel whenever we want. But as said, there comes a day I will move somewhere else. When I do not know, but the plan is 15 years or so more in Isan with 4-6 months a year in Thailand. Also due to the new tax regulations. Not going to happen I pay tax on my savings I transfer to Thailand. -
Who said I was angry? And you still do not get the rel problem here, which is lack of respect in public in front of families with small children!

Oh my, to good to be true, but I have same experiences, except from mid february beginning of march when the heat sets in, and the fire show starts until august - september. There is good days between, but the longer I stay, the more affected I became of the clima and burning. We always travelled often in Thailand, but now Im travelling frequently more back home to escape the heat. Family and village people are friendly, never had one bad incident, or any problem. Best thing no close neighbours, but still affected when there is funerals, budda days, weddings, and other celebrations and parties which goes on for days. with Two big shopping days a month I get what I need from Makro and Tops. Which is a roundtrip of 180km But living like this is not for everybody, even Im born on a farm, it is not a walk in the park. If you do not have any interests and get up in the morning, it is easy to be bored to death. Motorbikes, large well equippet home gym, farm work, animals and travels make life better and more interesting. Still Im making a plan for after my 70'ies, or when I know my time is up in Isaan to make a move. Where I do not know yet, since things can change before that. Most important, do not get stuck- 166 replies

I didnt expect to find any understanding for my points, and thats why this tread already is 12 pages to long. Older men who defend older men who choose younger women way below their weight! Not surprised thinking of many I personally have met in Thailand, and experienced their view on women in grneral, and learn were they come from, both culturally and class, as well lifestyle. 40 year pluss men marry 16 - 20 years poor women! Go figure
