  1. Not to forget Georgias border 20%, Chechnya, and a few Stan countries,
  2. Well, suits "normal" people Bob, even I miss that, but it takes me a month or two back in "reality" and then you miss the unpredictable again. Its in your blood Bob, you are stuck
  3. Interesting, define normal Bob,
  4. Obviously you have time to waste here trolling? For 100 days pluss minus, it is overkill to apply for retirement visa, and will take more resources than extention and fly in and out. Know your case before you talk BS Spineless desk warriors who give confused emotions. 😉
  5. Yeah, might be 20 years ago, I guess it have been up several times maybe
  6. The sad part of incidents alike this, those of lower ranks do not dear to do anything, or would effectively had been stopped by the local police advice. If it was not for her father had connections, this would never had been a case. So call it progress. What he did affect all of us, and be welcome to chase down every other scum acting like him. Just local news today at our village, a police man beating a young boy, being prosecuted. So it is not only foreigners being chased, even police. As well the swiss guy outed his guy showing off messages from his phone today. Have not got them translated yet, but looks like the corrupt policeman going down as well. Good job dr
  7. I wish my homecountry did the same, and also was a bit more like Thailand in many ways protecting what is theirs, and do now give away free at the border. The west have sold out everything that is valuable even their soul! Not everything is black and white, and Im sure most Americans regret all tech and production as services is sold out to very competitive countries. The west is a culture catastrophe we will struggle with for a long long time
  8. And many of the new villa's built in Hua Hin I looked at back a few years ago, was offered with company from the real estate company. The whole property business seemed so dodgy, so figured it would be better to bet on my gf instead, now wife.
  9. 15 ears ago, it was the same rumors they where going to clean up, but what really happened? All the illigal villas around in company names especially at Koh Samui, and nothing happened, just silence. Maybe different now?
  10. Hard to bet on any of them, and Indo not mind any of them win on friday eve/Saturday morning Interesting to see the atmosphere at the presentation yesterday at the conference. So different from any of the former press conferences. No trash talking, except Ngannou dissing Tyson from stage. Saudi going to capture the world sports stage! Sad to see, but thats the reality, and where the money is.
  11. About 100% of to voters who cant manage to choose anyone else than the two options at the moment
  12. I have told my family to not do anything that could hit back on us, and it is exactly what our neighbours do, cut trees, grab a little bit more land from government every year, start fire results in forrest fire 🔥 and more. I know the risk, but Im ok, I try not to stand out, and if it is getting worse, I leave. I have not registered our marriage in Thailand because of status q. Meaning marriage making the spouse responsible if the spouse do something illegal. We have a great land, great freedom, but we also have protect our steps.
  13. Are you going to see the match, and what is your bet? https://www.dazn.com
  14. When naming mad men, cant leave Trump out 🫡
  15. Well, I know there is racism I thailand, I see it, but I hardly get affected by it. I could made a problem of it, but choose not to. We are the same home, nothing special about thai racism, they just havent focused on the problem, as we have done, and back home far over the top to being ridiculous. I accept racism, because it is natural and they do not know better. The racism is worst among themselves, Im not that much affected as them who experience it on daily basis at work, at school, at holidays. My wife if she arrives a 5 star hotel before me, she is sometimes treated different than after Im arriving, because of her darker skin than bangkok high so ideal.
  16. Then we are back to frustration of living in Thailand. How to succeed in a racist country, mentally and physically. Thailand is not for everybody, where you get frustrated by how it is status q!
  17. It is important to find reliable, or as reliable sources from both sides, and see through the obvious necessary propaganda to keep the nations spirit up, and keep fighting. Ukraine soldiers and volunteers have everything to fight for, their future, while russians fight for? Or against? It is many similarities to many other border conflicts around the world, as well fighting for their world position, markeds, influence in countries who oppose the western dominance and are willing to have a new world order. And unfortunate Putin seems to succeed, unless western countries answer the threat more efficient and effectively. The only question, are we (the west) willing to go far enough to stop this, and what is the consequences by doing to? What is the risk? As there is a fight for Europeen dominance, there is a fight for dominance in the middle east at the same time, and when the same starts in Asia (already an economic war), and south america, what then? It is a chess game with to many players, and to many moves that for each move create new problems and challenges
  18. Its been proved wrong in several tests, that bikea with more sound prevent accidents. If you surrounded by loud bikes, what then? Everything depends on drivers and riders being aware, colours being visual, skills, position, and follow a known pattern, There is several studies and articles to puck from https://www.autoweek.com/news/industry-news/a35952569/loud-pipes-do-not-save-lives/
  19. The first question I have, why do he think he is going to make it in Thailand I he did not make it in Uk? I would say, it will take more to succeed in Thailand than Uk, even without knowing anything about the possibilities for a young man in Uk! It always comes down to be diciplined and willing to work hard and understand what it takes to succeed in anything in life. Very few experience success in Thailand. Day to day, yes, but to secure yourself and family for the future? Insurance, safety money, education for kids, pension,,,,,
  20. You really do not understand simple things do you? We are guests here, doesnt matter how bad the reality is, this is a perfect incident for locals, to vent their frustration on everything that is wrong with their society. Someone who have connections high up think they can do whatever they want with no consequenses, and this time ot was an foreigner who was caught with his pants down. It is not only a thai phenomenon, it is universal.
  21. I agree, but Life can be easier in thailand if you have chronic pain, vitamin d deficiency, stress, economic reasons, if you are diciplined enough to create a life in Thailand with healthy routines and lifestyle. If you abuse stimulants, lack of social skills it doesnt help moving to Asia.
  22. Every 3 - 4 months is a great reset, and make life in thailand batter and more appreciated. As long I can work freelance thats how I want it. And for now, I will stay out to avoid taxes, and also easier since I can stay here on travel insurance solely, and need no additional.
  23. I guess you where smart enough to understand my point! Most people is narrow minded, and cant understand if the other way around, jews was treated like soi dogs, it would had been as wrong as it is now. Unjustified treatment, no matter religion, background, ethnicity or colour is wrong.
