Almost correct, but, I'm tired to follow up now, and the best thing id to wait and see. If you do not pay tax in any country, you most likely have to pay tax to Thailand if resident here 180 days a year or more. If you tax to another country, you have to check the tax deal your country have with Thailand. Good luck

Right now I have my eyes at the mountains in backlight from the sun, and insects playing up as the light vanish slowly. Not to bad that either. Pic 20 min ago

That's a truth with modifications. There is days I'm bored, but I can enjoy boredom to, and there is days you meet challenges that for Isaan people is the norm, or normal. But with the right girl/woman it can be great if you are a person who is willing to do something for yourselves that mean and give something to you in return. I continue to say, Isaan is not for everyone, and when I'm getting older, I keeping the options open for what comes next. If things develop a bit more here like hospital options, I might stay as long as possible, but when I'm getting older, I would like to see the ocean every day and feel the evening breeze. If that makes sense for anyone. Never underestimate the last sunset with boots on.

Some prospects in some areas is status Q, and the marked haven't moved much or at all. Especially farm land in districts, you can get 1000 rai for 6 million baht, and it is the same around many countries in Europe. In Portugal can get farmland in the mountains for give away prices.

Some Asian, African, South American and Middle East countries might have an different view of our view of law and order based world, and do tend to involve history further back than our western generations care to think of. That's the real problem, not Putins internal propaganda war feeding his own people with half truths and lies.

That's another side of it, and a huge factor for how much longer Russia can continue to spend resources and human life's. When Russia loose this war, it is not over, it is the continue of the change of world order. This is a much bigger conflict than Russia attacks Ukraine as we all might have understood now?

Some work smarter and more efficient than others be it a bar girl or housewife. I would still reckon bar and a housewife position as work. -

One day we will loose connection to Google, but Google will still be there. Think about that one for a second -
That depends on his allies and future allies. Russia is not alone, and Russia is not the only country who have beef with USA or the western world. If you only read western allies news, it is not that noticeable, but at once you open your view for more broad and wide news channels, you see putin have alot more support and emphasis than we would thought. Future is not decided if world economy will be connected to Usd as status Q, Brics is one serious attempt. Next big economy threat coming from India, and who they choose as their future allies to. Nothing is carved in stone yet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRICS

I'm good, no worries. If I Need foreigners I have som loose nuts in range from the farm, meet up with someone I know is on the road touring, meet up with my few friends spread out in Thailand for a short visit, or just pack up for a stay in Homeland and work if I feel I Need an atmosphere and an reality check. Quality life with enough contrasts makes a good life. I think I would had lost it in Pattaya, if I lived there to long. Different breed need different environments.

Life is never boring for those who is still alive. You like to listening to Denzel pep talk, why havent you found the gold you looking for? We have a decent good life while caring for our self, animals and do small things as things grows. We have animals, fish, vegetables, fruit, prepere and preserve, as well we travelling for holidays from farm, and Im alse continue travellign for frelance work abroad. 4 motorbikes, reading, 5 days two sessions in my home gym a week, and not to forget to much online!
-
Pay attention, and you would know Im not just bumming around Mr Big
-
Im living a good retired life at the farm! The downside, to much at AN and answering stupid replies and kept busy in way to many topics for the reward of very few who actually contribute with positivity and common sense. The bonus is the confused emotions, then you know you should step up to game and check your spelling once more, or you managed to provoke someone who deserved it. small insecure men use confused emotions, while real men do not give a ...... ????

Nice try ????

I succeded, I retired at 47, now I have safety assets spread out. I have my future options separate, and I call that plan a, b and c. I'm committed in Thailand, but not stupid.
-
I plan, I learn from my mistakes, I fall forward when fail, I take risks, I trust and I think outside the box! Of course Denzel have a plan b! He got assets, he got credit and royalties, and he got wealth.
-
a half kg of laughing gass could be nice to

You make plan A and B, and if B also goes to hell, you use plan C. Elementary

Still 15 years total 22 years at that time. Wife own land houses, and a landlord in the village, so everything will be downpaid after 10 years. After that every year will be a bonus year. Low maintenance fee also play a role of course.

Buying an apartment can be a success if you find the right location and run by a good management which already is 5 - 10 years old. It takes a bit work, but it can be done. Renting is just throwing money out of the window if you have long term perspective. But it is the safest to rent of course for other reasons. Neighbour's is one strong reasons to rent only if you going to live there yourself.
-
AS a plan b, I can buy an apartment in Bangkok as an safety asset, but I'm unsure how it would be to sell and bring cash out the day I might need it. I do not trust Thailand, to invest to much here, and I'm unsure of my future here after 70.

You need to be a tax payer to have property in Norway, however you can own leisure property. I'm still a taxpayer with an adress in Norway regardless how many days or years I spend abroad.
-
If you have a house and would like to return or keep a plan b, you sell your house, and reinvest in an apartment. I haven't been back to my apartment since 2013, and basically run by itself. When I'm back in Norway, I only go for work, family and friends, the apartment I manage to solve online only. I had the same tenant now for 7 years.
