I dissagree, everyone who stands out some way is a target no matter what you feel. Bullying is an problem for everyong who experience it, and not only owned by one group.

is it hard to understand that anyone can be bullied in Thailand because of their family members social status or being? There is not only one group or one thing that make you bullied in Thailand, or anyplace in the world.

Any bullying is not accapted, but unfortunate bullying is common in Thailand on every aspect of life.

The problem in Thailand, everyone is bullied and discriminated for being dam dam, fat, women who work in surtain areas being to old (35), single mothers, or stands out in some way, and they get nick names to remind them every day. If you are pretty no matter ladyboy, gay or whatever sexual preferences, and meet the standards set by opinion you can cruise through life. As long you fake it to you make it, anything is possible

Im not sure if it is same now as before, but ladyboys could not attend some nightclubs in Patong. However have three ladyboys in family, one in school age who is completely accepted both by family and in school, as well one lady working for an international company, and one for a beauty company travelling among the shops in the chain and making campain stands. Im not here to argue about prices or entertainment in OP post, because I do not know his preferences, but personally, I enjoy smaller cities, and also less entertainment is okay, as long I can enjoy quality food and beer once and awhile which can be done in Chiang Rai. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai have different topographic surrounding the cities, and thats why Chiang Rai is not as bad as Chiang Mai. Im not even considering 20 bath difference on a single meal like your comparison. I consider total living costs.

No it is not! And why on earth do you think Phuket is an better option, when he ask about CM? Chiang Rai is an option you should check out, and in my opinion a much better place when it comes to pollution and also city. At least my experience.

I worried alot in my life for no good, so the good thing about getting older, is to learn that worries do not improve your life. Action by doing something to provide a better future for yourself, do improve your life. Worry avout things out of your reach? What good can that do for you? Why should I worry? Whatis it to worry about? Personal Economy is the only worry I can see, and if that is not an existing problem, what is it left to worry about? There is things that can be future problems to worry about, but that is out of my reach to control.
