I do not believe that kind of level insurance they have in mind, if any, suits me. Never travelled a day without insurance ever to any country, so for me, I just do not care. Im living here and flying in and out 3-5 for work, and sometimes visa run depending on my current status. I could not care less about alchohol laws, taxes, or double morality as well double charge or more because Im a foreigner. Still makes Thailand an better option than most available places to live. Nr one is infrastructure Nr two is clima Nr three is safety Nr four is the cost of living here Nr 5 came as a result of all above my wife and our home. Visa issues is a no issue compared to what I have to do and pay to have my visit my home country, paper, travel, cost etc, and not to talk about have a reunion in Norway and have her living there. My retirement visa is nothing compared to what we have to provide and pay for her permanent visa there.
