Hummin replied to still kicking's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Half of the country is not just a few, + the woke part of the other side of it, makes it solid 70% crazy people give and take. Moved back last April, and the plan is 5 months this year two trips, and after that 2 months a year until my wife gets her citizenship. -

My experience is, more people stays happy together, than those who are unhappy and also get divorced. So I guess I I've by my experiences, and you by yours. And for those whomdo not succeed, there is an easy explanation why it went to hell -

I'm a grown up man, and she is a grown up woman, so we both had history, made some experiences and know when we have something valuable, and do what we canto maintain what we have. It is personality and attitude we both cherish and trying to maintain. Happy wife, happy life -

Does your Thai wife or girlfriend ever foot the bill?

Why, she is the purest form of gold digger. Expert level 10. When that is said, she let me live at her farm I paid for. I make her happy, she makes me happy. I never needed to make up with my wife, we are always happy. Very happy and no worries -

Bob Bob Bob Yes, my wife pays all my bills, because she have access to all my founds in Thailand, and even holds a credit card with 500k on it in credit. I never pay a bill in Thailand. -
I would rather become Christian or Muslim for the women, than an flat earther, but I do not have to do any of those extremities to get women wherever I am at 😉

I have quite a journey on my bikes by number of trips all the way back to 2004 and 100k's km, and not one helmet stolen so far. Most of the time leaving it at my mirror. Might be different in Bangkok

Everything I have seen so far make me believe, and I have no reasons to doubt proven science. Neither I am smart enough to prove them wrong, since I'm poorly equipped with only 123 in IQ which only make me around 7% of the population on earth.

My earth doesn't disappoint me, always at time and no mistakes with the 100% secured system to make us think the earth is something it is not. Not one pixel wrong this time either, except my lousy phone camera

And it is getting worse. Smoking at public places has escalated. At ferry terminal, the beaches, at restaurants (which I did not see last year. At the bars yes, but normal restaurants no. We come with family and kids, and nobody give a <deleted>. It is normal now, and the tourists take it for granted, this is legal, or there is no consequences due to smoking in public. The average thais? What do they think about it? How will this impact the future regulations of legal weed in Thailand?

Both are good for their different segments, but I would dissagree top model against a cheap model from both them, do not pair. The weight, noise protection and aerodynamics on a more expensive helmet outperform a cheaper one. Talking about riding 4-6 hours every day for a longer trip, you feel the difference, and also the venting performance. How each and one helmet feels on your head, is more about your head shape, and one brand fits better than another. Even a cheaper helmet can feel better, no doubt about it. Anyway, Shoei and Shark is both in the top 5 helmet brands on the marked. It comes more down to availability here in Thailand, and as well Shark is cheaper than Shoei if you compare top end models up against each other if the shark model is produced in Thailand.
-
What do you think you would feel different? Weight vs safety can not be measured, and also choice of material as well testing before releasing the product. Comfort after hours in sadle wearing an cheap model vs a more expensive lightweight vented helmet at an average speed of 80 - 100km/h
-
Find a good vented one, and check the reviews on the model.

Sharks have some great options. light weight, safety and weight for a decent price. If you go touring, and also drive in villages and cities, a modular helmet is a good solution to. Honda have their own H2C budget helmets if you finds shark to expensive. https://www.thaihonda.co.th/honda/motorcycle/helmet I prefer buying my Shoei helmets in Europe, and bring them to Thailand. Asian head is a bit different from average European head.
-
Depending on what you use the helmet for, but once you got one thumb sized bug hit your face once at greater speed than 60km/h you prefer full face helmet. Was riding with one who got his cheek cut open by a big mf a few years ago,.

I believe you should review who of you and me is stuck or not 😉 I do what I want to do, when I want to do, and not tied up to anything else than my wife. The good thing, she is flexible to. Enough of this bull pie contest and generalized stupid comments and discussions you continuously contributing to because of your black hearth and jealousy. Must be hard to observe happy couples walking around in sin city

Riding motorcycles in Thailand - What you need to know
Hummin replied to CharlieH's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
You need to know the local pattern of driving, and keep the traffic behind you. Full safety gear for big bike and long trips. I do ride in flip flop and without helmet to 7/11, but I know it is stupid. Still,,, Riding bikes in Thailand requires an active riding style, unless you leave your destiny in hands of other people. Safe riding -
