Combine the no notification under 50 baht rule with something like SCB's waiver for foreigners' losses on transfers and they can suck you dry and leave you nothing and you haven't any recourse.

Cars need to exit off the expressways, and then what? Seven or eight years ago a new expressway opened leading to an exit that feeds into Borommaratchachonnani at Phutthamonthon Sai 2. What used to be a strait shot down Borom now clogs up pretty much 24/7. Place is a nightmare thanks to the new expressway.

If that is the case, then nobody using Bangkok Bank will be able to get a 12 month statement, because BBK require a seven day notice. They do give you a receipt, signed and stamped, on the day you order the statement, but the statement itself will not be emailed to you for a couple of days at least.

Often wondered if it would be a better idea with Bangkok Bank if people on the retirement extension got a six month bank statement six months after the extension and then could get another six month statement at any branch same day as the next extension. Work?

All the Thai negotiators could see was big money for durians, pork, and timber being shipped to China (and the resulting increase in prices for Thai consumers of those same exports). It apparently never occurred to them that the other side (China) would use the trade agreement to pillage, ruin, and abuse the Thai economy just like they do everywhere else.

I thought they did. In the video, the captain came on the intercom and announced the plane was turning around to land because of the incident. At least I thought that's what I heard.

Just to follow up. Today, I transferred the remainder of my tax fund--somewhat small than the sum mentioned above. It took 5 hours to go through. The only difference aside from the lesser amount is that I made the above transfer at 11:46am two days ago. Today, I made the transfer at 9:42am. I know that Bangkok Bank has an international desk for approving transfers that opens at either 10am or 10:30am, so maybe nothing goes through until then and somehow gets stacked up waiting to process.. Maybe they come in the office and also flip a switch for other low amount transfers. It's all magic. At least I got my money. Glad I didn't have to wait for the bank approval for paying up front for something like emergency heart surgery.

Are you kidding? In the US, they need to institute an IQ requirement just to enter the airline terminals. Have you seen all the brawls that happen in US airports?

Before being allowed to board any commercial aircraft, all would be passengers should be required to submit a registered IQ identification card. No boarding for anyone with less than a 100 IQ. That will stop just about 95 percent of these type incidents.
