UK Motorbike licence classes.
Eloquent pilgrim replied to transam's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I see that you have replied to four of my comments, or partial comments, none of which, you will note, were addressed to you, and you have done so in an aggressive and confrontational manner; this I believe, constitutes trolling. However, that notwithstanding, and for your edification, I am not in the least bit interested in anything at all that you have to say to me. You obviously want an ongoing confrontation with someone, so I suggest that you choose someone that visits this forum as frequently as yourself, because I do not spend every waking hour on here, and only visit periodically when my busy life allows the time …. -

Conversely, I haven’t been able to garner the enthusiasm to read many of your comments on this forum; primarily because, a quick calculation indicates that I would need to read more than twenty of them every single day for more than ten years to acquaint myself with your posting history … -

Maybe you should, you might discover that there is life outside of this forum, that you are obviously addicted to. -

What a remarkably strange and rather rude reply. I was politely trying to establish what his situation was with regarding the ownership of the bike, how, and if, he had ridden it here before, and his prospects of becoming legal to ride it in Thailand. If he doesn’t as you say, hold a UK or International Motorcycle license, then he won’t be able to acquire one in Thailand without taking the statutory test; or, of course, using an agent to circumnavigate the legitimate way ..... but given how long you've been here, you must know that already. -

Not sure if I'm clear about this; but he's bought a 125 cc Yamaha in Thailand without actually being here, and hasn't riden a motorcycle before ... is that right ? -

Apologies if I’ve missed something here, but if he has a 125cc Yamaha here, what licence was he using to ride it when he was here before ? -
Not sure what your idea of an economic collapse is, but the Ruble has lost roughly 25% of its value against the dollar since Russia invaded Ukraine last year.

The difficulty of avoiding sugar in Thailand.
Eloquent pilgrim replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Eastern Thailand
Nonsense, it is exactly that, and this is not the first time that you have tried to trivialise its effects on this forum. Added sugar increases the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, it increases the risk of both Prostate and Oesophagus cancer, and increases the risk of fatty liver. Excessive sugar can also increase cellular aging, and significantly increase the risk of inflammatory conditions, such as gout. Please stop telling people otherwise.- 213 replies

Nothing fictitious about it at all; it’s not often one can make such sweeping generalisations, but all Chinese cars are badly engineered using poor quality materials. Junk, in fact, to use the popular vernacular. Also, anyone buying one is supporting the despotic CCP, and their appalling human rights record, but maybe you’re comfortable with that aspect ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And don’t bother with some spiel about how Chinese made parts are in many consumer products, I’ve already read the Chinese apologists handbook.
