  1. Considering all the japs who come to Thailand to monger, it rather works the other way round. Besides who really wants to visit a country (like many others) that openly dumps nuclear waste water in the ocean ?
  2. Why not check with neighbours, condo home owners or house owners if they have anybody to recommend ?
  3. Except for a few exceptions here and there, has anybody really seen a politician do anything that benefits the people in general?
  4. A good reminder not to neglet due common sense compliance and check before jumping into a relation with a lovely Thai hottie who could have a boyfriend/husband someplace back in a Soi or the Village.
  5. Great idea, not to forget the minimal maintenance that is also required for EV's and charging points. Let's hope Bangkok, Hua Hin, Pattaya and Chang Mai will follow. Pollution in Thailand needs to be tackled fast...
  6. Quite obviously had no business, but as dishonest people will always exist, my point was plainly to reduce the odds of getting robbed or scammed. Thank you.
  7. Nothing will improve if the visa issues remain such a hassle with all the supporting documents required. Not to mention further issues with consulates abroad. A clever and pragmatic compromise would be to grant 90 day stay with no immigration hassle or question on the visa waiver that is currently only 30 days. (let's dream) TM30 issues are also a pain in the neck and should be able to be done online for all as currently only businesses/home renters can do so online (unless i am mistaken).
  8. Never will understand why the meter and connections are not individually installed within the owners premises and with no access to neighbours.
  9. Quite a few consumers in Europe and surely globally, need to buy prestige and respect, with a top brand European car. The quality aspect comes only on part 2 or 3 of the choice. This is one of the causes of high household debt that leads to individual bankrupcy. No to mention that in many parts of the world it's not always smart to display a 100'000 $ car in the driveway for obvious safety reasons.
  10. A good idea to offer customer a choice of the full pot belly portions or smaller half portions. It will help fight obesity and related issues by eating unhealthy food with high levels of fat. As they say, you can eat or drink anything...provided with moderation. Don't drink or eat yourself to death as there a still many wonderful soapys to visit in life ????
  11. I would be more concerned in hiring a Burmese or any other Thai helper into my home that I do not know or who has not been recommended by a reliable 3rd party.
  12. Practically everything now comes from China obvisously. Apple has stuff assembled in China but the question if you kindly allow me and that I may ask myself, is can everybody affort the latest iphone or MacBook pro etc ? Is it worth getting into absurd debt just by ego and to keep un with the Jones or next door Somchai ? Same for the cars. If one cannot affort the latest Merci full options at 150'000 $, they should neverthelss be able to have acces to the latest tech through cheaper versions of Chinese or asian models that have nothing to envy with their german cousins. Let's not forget all the fun being made many years ago against the Made in Japan or Made in Korea vehicles that carried funny unknown names as Hyundai, Toyota or Kia..
  13. Of course, all the top engineered european or US cars solely and only have 100% of their components Made in Europe or the US and of course absolutely no micro semiconductors from Taiwan or China. ????..sure..sure..why not...
  14. Obviously it will be proportionate to the brand, it's initial cost, regarding it's resale value. But I may look at maintenance costs spent between the Merk and the MG. (that is if the cars were properly maintained ). Another criteria could be if it's petrol or electric and what the service and maintenance could cost to the new owner ? Things are in a transition now and could redifine resale criteria in the future depending on the motorisation of the car rather then the brand ? one just cannot say.
  15. If they spell the name wrong on say on a leasehold document for exemple, does that mean one is plainly and totally f...... ed ?
  16. Not only in Thailand. Major economic slowdown in Europe and the west within the nations who gave in to the US sanctions against Russia. However the american sanctions have a knock off effect globally, causing a major slowdown in most economies. Add the Chinese crisis that enhances the problem, and it leads to a world with people basically having or wanting to spend less money out of doubt or due to lack of demand that leads to slower production-sales and exports...
  17. Did the tenant inform the landlord that there was mould forming or leaks in the roof ? Did the landlord do anything to repair the construction flaws and stop the leaking ?
  18. The problem is that even the so-called top quality western brands, are getting crappy, And not only for cars,. For everything. Gordon Gecko said "greed is good". I may say that "greed is universal" unfortunately. So at the end of the day, might as well buy cheap crap then branded costly crap, IMHO.
  19. Went to the wrong place. With all respect, his top government should have visited the immigration offices, immigration counters at major airports and spoken via video to the consulates abroad. Stop harassing the foreigners on visa issues and inventing new paperwork or rules. Stop taking months to deliver evisas, Grant 90 day hassle free, visa waiver to the current selected beneficiairies, instead of 30 days, Make the 90 day report online more smooth and less often offline. Have small immigration booths all over the town that handle all the wonderful progressive TM's. And for myself...dream on ????
