  1. Be careful that you haven't been earning money without a work permit.
  2. While not convinced a mass debate will solve anything, however recently read that there are now some crimes that the British police will not investigate. A slippery slope to Thai levels.
  3. Used to go to Singapore regularly on business. The number of people who told me Thailand is ting tong. Wish I could defend the country but I cannot.
  4. Somewhere, Mandy Rice-Davies is listening to Acer dating this is s good idea and thinking, "Well he would, wouldn't he."
  5. Why shouldn't they borrow more on the assumption the government will bail them out?
  6. Protectionism will work for a while then others will add more barriers.
  7. Never read of an airplane crash caused by heavy passengers.
  8. I have noticed a tendency for politicians to forget the proliferation of cameras these days. They swear they didn't do it then a video appears showing they did it. Perhaps lying is so natural they think they can get away with it. Sad.
  9. There are people who don't understand ethics and morals. The good guys are not supposed to do the same as the bad guys.
  10. How does placing a bullet on a stretcher change anything? Please explain in 50 words or less.
  11. I read earlier today that Latin American countries, especially Chile, demand the US release information regarding its illegal interference in local coups and support for despots. With no one else to fault, the country has become a pariah in third world countries. Though I doubt China will attack the US mainland, there might be a lot of strain over the next few years and the US cannot think China will be a pushover.
  12. The Catholic Church is besieged by stories of what their own priests have done. Time to tax them, sue them and push them out of business.
  13. Love him or hate him, I would prefer that Trump is found guilty of insurrection or aiding an insurrection before they throw the 14th amendment at him. Are they even able to use the 14th if he hasn't been found guilty yet?
  14. Blood sausage (cooked) is a common food in the UK, but, while in Laos, I was offered Larb Leuat (blood larb) and couldn't force myself to even taste it. In Bang Ban District of Ayutthaya Province eating raw pork leads (or used to lead) to blindness.
  15. I thought joining the Mile High Club comes with a badge?
  16. On your knees boy ????
  17. This is the first time I noticed that Thaksin looks similar to Jack Ma. Maybe they swapped places?
  18. Sounds like a tight misery guts who kept a grip on his money.
  19. He has a good point. The Bangkok government is biased against the South, which is the cause of a lot of misery there.
  20. Pleased to see one party interested in an issue that people care about for half the year.
  21. Let's hope PT learns a lesson from this and bucks up.
  22. Relieving the current debt of farmers will lead them into more debt as their perception will be that the government will bail them out again and again. Maybe better to teach them to grow other, more valuable crops than rice. I remember visiting some of Rama IX's projects that taught farmers multi crop rotation. It meant they could grow food through the year
  23. Saw a Jackie Chan film in India. The crowd was all into it with constant cheers and cries of, "Hit him Jackie!" Better entertainment than the film but once it's enough.
  24. Thais have never seen a Scandinavian prison I guess. Television, fridge, hot and cold water etc. The difference is one system seeks to punish, the other to reform.
  25. Thais watch too many soap operas. When the bad guys says, "Kill him" they think that's real life.
