  1. Hilary won the popular vote with 3 million more votes than Trump. Biden received 7 million more of the popular vote. But you can win an election with 270 college votes and just 11 states (out of 50). (number of electors, total electors) California (55; 55) Texas (38; 93) Florida (29; 122) New York (29; 151) Illinois (20; 171) Pennsylvania (20; 191) Ohio (18; 209) Georgia (16; 225) Michigan (16; 241) North Carolina (15; 256) New Jersey (14; 270) 🙂
  2. The Establishment Clause states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" thus preventing it from establishing a religion but the state of Louisiana isn't Congress. In the strictest reading, the Establishment Clause proscribes any adoption of an official religion by the federal government. Doesn't say anything about a state government. However, in a number of decisions, the Supreme Court held that because of the Fourteenth Amendment, the protections of religious freedom in the First Amendment are enforceable against state and local governments. While the U.S. Constitution does not mention God, nearly all state constitutions reference either God or the divine. It will be interesting to see what Louisiana does when other religious group claim their right to equality under the Constitution. Moreover, nearly every Christian is going to hell if you look at the 10 commandments from the perspective that Moses was a Jew.
  3. Why post so many videos of an UBO (Unidentified Blurry Object) passing overhead? Yes, we don't know what it is but it could be Superman or an RTAF jet.
  4. All world wars were started by Christians (well, all two of them). Not to say the Iranians are not dangerous but Russia (Christian) is far more likely to start a world war. Quite separate from terrorism of course. The people (whoever they are) who have caused or tried to cause regime change (Iraq, Cuba and so many others) through violence are also terrorists. But they are our terrorists I guess.
  5. The family of the deer should claim compensation. Seriously, this is very sad.
  6. I am still betting that Singapore and perhaps Malaysia will kill this project at some point. Meanwhile, let the Prime Minister make some cash.
  7. No checks of personal wealth? No problem.
  8. The government is one of the weakest brained bunch in many years. Yes, lottery and horse racing exist, but how have they grown the economy more than a tick? Long term investment by foreign manufacturers and educational development to meet the needs of the market would help the country much more.
  9. A smart Sretta would announce in parliament that he is withdrawing the policy as Move Forward leader Chaithawat Tulathon doesn't want the government to help poor people. Then hold an election immediately. It has reached the point where the poor expect their freebie, never mind the consequences.
  10. Why so much interest in rich people? Starting to look like the Daily Express here.
  11. A couple of weeks wages is hardly going to move the needle is it? More jobs with better monthly wages would work.
  12. Vitriol. That's a good word.
  13. While I wouldn't put down the fact there was peace during his presidency, for whatever reasons, I wonder if foreign policy is really a major talking point for the election. I get the feeling the national economy is a bigger issue.
  14. Who taught these children that antisemitism, rape and paedophilia are acceptable? Adults.
  15. Sounds like a case of night terrors. Be careful as some people fall out of bed (happened to me) and you could hurt yourself. See: Night Terrors: Causes and Tips for Prevention (sleepfoundation.org)
  16. Lots of Thai artefacts apparently went missing during the Vietnam war. Carabao actually wrote a protest song about this (different artefact from the news article). Take back Michael Jackson Give back our Phra Narai. (เอาไมเคิล แจ็คสันคืนไป เอาพระนารายณ์คืนม) It is good they returned this, but why wait so many years?
  17. When reading about both, Kennedy comes across as more of a Loony Tunes character. I do admit to admiring his environmental work but his political views are just nuts. List of RFK Jr. Conspiracy Theories The Covid-19 virus was genetically engineered. Covid-19 targets certain races and gives others immunity (it attacks Caucasians and black people but spares Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people) Dr. Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates sought to exaggerate the pandemic, in part, to promote vaccines (Kennedy Jr. accused the pair in his 2021 book, The Real Anthony Fauci of launching "a historic coup d'état against Western democracy" by exercising outsize influence over the media and public health realm, while Kennedy also promoted use of unapproved treatments for Covid-19, such as ivermectin.) Vaccines can cause autism (despite consensus among a number of certified health organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and more that have found no credible link between vaccines and autism) Mass shootings are linked to prescription drugs The 2004 presidential election was stolen The CIA was involved in the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy The wrong person may have been convicted of killing his father (he says someone psychologically programmed Sirhan) The pharmaceutical industry is throwing money at Democrats (STAT News found 23 of the country’s biggest drug companies and 2 pharmaceutical trade organizations have favored Republicans in 14 of the past 16 elections from 1990-2020) Gun ownership in Switzerland is similar to the United States (U.S. civilians possess an average of 120.5 firearms per 100 people, the highest per-capita rate in the world, compared to 27.6 in Switzerland) Kennedy Jr. has repeatedly disavowed the “anti-vaxx” label, claiming he is not against safe vaccines and has vaccinated his children. In 1982, Kennedy was assistant district attorney for Manhattan. After failing the New York bar exam, he resigned. That September, he was charged with heroin possession in South Dakota. He pleaded guilty. Fauci is a physician-scientist and immunologist who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He has a Doctor of Medicine degree and was ranked first in his class. At Cornell, he focused on adult internal medicine, mainly infectious diseases and the immune system. He developed therapies for formerly fatal diseases such as polyarteritis nodosa, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and lymphomatoid granulomatosis. (Both people have extensive Wikipedia biographies) So, do you trust the former heroin addict or the scientist?
  18. Misogyny is still alive and well in developed and undeveloped countries I see
  19. A drone taking pictures is nice propaganda but not cause for war. Tighten up air security and make defensive plans instead of planning total war.
  20. People who pay good money to see a pop concert probably don't want to hear a lecture on politics.
  21. Fauci is fortunate to have other scientists to back him up. Kennedy only has his imagination. 😘
  22. Not the first time anyone has said they want Pattaya to be a family destination. Will it survive without prostitution? The last time I looked there was very little too see. Reports of black water, katoeys beating up foreigners regularly. I think it will be a difficult job.
  23. Um l don't know if the anti vaccine guy is a neutral source.
  24. Why does America have to kiss the ring of Crown Prince Mohammed "Chopper" bin Salman? Why did America forget that the pilots who flew into the twin trade towers were Saudi? Hmm. It will come to me in a minute.
  25. The Philippines needs stronger water pistols and steel rams on the front of their ships.
