Thai leaders dodge meeting with UN human rights commissioner
Andycoops replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A further disgrace to the nation and human rights of free speech as the country is still being run by unelected idiots, while the winners are yet again likely to be banned. The Army's hand is firmly up to Muppets buttocks and are effectively still running the country. -
Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?
Andycoops replied to CharlieH's topic in General Topics
I've no need to wonder as I have been in rural Thailand for 15 years. The bamboo man is less than 1 per cent of farang life in rural Thailand and is therefore not representative, certainly regarding my associates, who live in normal housing with maybe a dog thrown in. We've come here to retire not work farms, shops etc that's for the Thai members of the family. -

UK warns British tourists to behave in Thailand or face jail time
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A complete waste of time, the dregs that cause trouble here mostly can't read and have the brain of a neanderthal. A spell in the Hilton will do them good, lock them up -
Marriage Visa Renewal with vfsevisa
Andycoops replied to kakopappa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
To the best of my knowledge only Thai immigration offices can issue a 1 year marriage extension. I have done 15 marriage extensions at a immigration office and the list of requirements is long. You need your bank book updated on the day of application showing the 400,000 baht in the account or a bank statement showing 12 monthly deposits over 40,000 baht each if using the income method. I have never heard of anyone getting a marriage extension at VFS. -

PM Unveils Ambitious 'IGNITE Agriculture Hub' Initiative
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Utter mumbo jumbo. Rice production hasn't changed in decades unlike neighbouring countries who have invested in R and D. Farmers are saddled with ridiculous debt, there is no profit in small rural rice production anymore because prices are so low. -

NACC criticised for redacted Prawit watch case report
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Typical Thai irony that a anti corruption commission is more corrupt than the people it acts against. Time for those Muppets to be fired and held responsible for their gross incompetence. -
MRT Train Rainwater Leak Prompts Urgent Investigation

The classic Thai scenario of buy it, install it and then forget it until it no longer works... -
So the dumb Muppets in the out of date education ministry are now the arbiters of what is a narcotic, thereby taking over from the health ministry, cabinet etc on the issue. Clearly someone is way out of their pay grade on this one. Meanwhile continue smoking cigarettes behind the bicycle sheds...

Try telling that to immigration. They want to see 1 monthly deposit of 40,000 baht or more, 2 separate deposits won't fly. A friend of mine tried to combine 2 separate deposits and was told no way. Of course the OPs IO might be different but I would advise a visit to explain what you intend. Remember you must have 12 monthly deposits before you apply for the extension.

It definitely isn't and in fact recently I have noticed some vendors advertise free delivery on the initial viewing page of the product but when you go to the checkout page a delivery charge is included. Shoddy marketing but then false advertising abounds here with little or no comeback.

Having a village wedding is purely ceremonial. It has no basis in law as such you are all single persons. If you get legally married this will be much better for you in the future with regard to visas for everyone. As mentioned above the processes can be wearisome for those who are not prepared to deal with the multiple documents required. It's upto you if you want to put in the necessary time and effort.

Senators Petition Court to Consider Impeaching PM Srettha
Andycoops replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is clearly a joke because it would be almost impossible to find anyone in that building who hasn't received a bung as that activity is endemic in those circles. Those bringing the motion are indeed actors due to them never having received a vote and are appointees, courtesy of the corrupt previous administration.
