  1. I live in Khon Kaen and I have only ever had to give a completed TM47 and my passport at the Khon Kaen office.
  2. Sorry but you are incorrect because I get my Australian Government Pension paid directly into my Thai bank account and I have lived in Thailand for 12 years
  3. You are incorrect on this information. I am an Australian pensioner and I have lived in Thailand without returning to Australia for 12 years. My government pension is paid direct from the Reserve Bank of Australia into my Bangkok Bank account every 4 weeks plus I have removed my name from the Australian Electoral Roll so I do not have to vote in Australian elections. If you do not have the pension before you leave Australia then you must reside in Australia for a minimum of 2 years before you can apply for the pension
  4. One of the big problems here in Thailand is that the emergency vehicles drive around with their emergency lights on even when there is no emergency, for example how many of you see the police trucks just cruising around with their flashing lights on for no reason at all. It is about time that Thailand regulated the use on the emergency lights and made the Blue & Red lights for police, ambulance and fire vehicles only and only to be used in an emergency.
  5. It is not only in Thailand but these naked bus chassis are sent to all the bus body building companies around the world and the bodies are all locally built in those countries. These bus chassis have an electrical control panel located in a box located alongside the drivers section that is accessed from the outside of the bus. As for the doors not opening could by because they are electrically operated and as the bus hit the barrier with the right side then that would cause a problem with the electrics and as the fire did not erupt immediately I would say then an electrically fault caused the fire to start. As for the tyre blowout, well that can happen to anyone at anytime. I bought brand new tyres for my pick up truck and I had them on the truck for about 2 months and I was driving home and I got a tread lift and blowout on one of my rear tyres. The interior of most of this type of bus is flammable material such as rubber for the seats and flammable cloth and timber or fibreglass for the interior linings. RIP those children and their teachers and condolences to their families
  6. Yes, my wife's family (grandfather) did buy the farmland. It was not bought from the government. it was bought from the previous private owner who had all the legal land documents.
  7. This shows how desperate this government that is lead by Thaksin's daughter is to rip the Thai people off. As I explained to my Thai wife that if she signs a 99 year lease with me on her farmland then she must sign the deed for that farmland over to the Thai Treasury Dept (Thai Government) which means the she no longer owns that farmland, it is now owned by the Thai Government who did not pay 1 Baht for the farmland. They stole it
  8. This owner has shown her own negligence as this dog has attacked other people as well as her own family and she has done nothing about it. This woman dog owner needs to be taken to court and sued for the negligent death of this old woman and this dog has proven it is dangerous and should be put down before it mauls other people and possibly kills another innocent walker or cyclist or small child. These breeds of dogs have been banned in several countries because of their aggressive nature.
  9. So mister illiterate the only people that need the extra space at the side of their vehicles is those with wheelchairs. Well mister I do not have a wheelchair but I do need a walking frame which takes the same room at the side of my car as a wheelchair.
  10. What is needed is for that female reporter to lodge a complaint with the police and make sure that the whole thing is properly recorded by other reporters and if this brain dead nitwit is not charged with assault and taken before the courts and him sentenced then it would be reported around the world and it would show the corruption of ALL high officialdom of Thailand and maybe all the countries should cease to deal with Thailand
  11. He is not dabbling in politics, it is his obedient daughter who is just doing what daddy tells her to do like all obedient children do
  12. You should learn to read properly because I said that the government should learn to protect the people and not their mates (Thaksin). His return to Thailand and being protected by his mates in government in the VIP hospital instead of in the proper prison. Protection of the governments mates and not the people of Thailand
  13. If the Thai government supplied the RTP with the right equipement and made the RTP do their jobs properly instead of trying to get their coffee money at these stupid road blocks then Thailand would not hold number 1 position of having the worlds road death record. It needs the government to wake up to itself and protect the people and not their mates (Thaksin)
  14. I originally heard it was being located in the grounds where the Division 4 Headquarters are which is located on the left hand side of the highway where there is also a police station plus the turn off into the transport office. Then someone said it is further up the highway on the right hand side. I think we are just going to have to wait and see like many things here in Thailand
  15. Took a lot of time and running around. First when we got there we went into the main building about 11:30 and my wife registered and then she was sent to building 2 for a test and after a bit of time waiting she finally was sent back to the main building for an x-ray which didn't take long and then she was told to comeback about 17:30 and she will see the dentist about 19:30 or maybe if someone does not come back then she might be seen earlier. Ended up getting her tooth extracted at 18:45 and after paying the bill we left there at 20:15
