  1. I know how it works and what it cost because I have been through it with my Thai wife to become a "RESIDENT" of Australia and her residency can be rejected by the Australian Immigration at any time during the application process and even after the application is approved it is only a temporary visa for 2 years at which anytime there is a breach of the visa conditions then the visa is cancelled and the spouse must leave the country
  2. try getting a "Residents Visa" for your partner into Australia and not a "Tourist Visa". There is a big difference between "Tourist Visa" and "Resident Visa" in every country. This thread is about "Residency" not visiting "Tourists"
  3. For a few years now every passport in the world has a chip embedded in them that has every bit of information including name changes so now it is not a case of another country accessing the Thai passport database, the information is on the chip in the passport. This saves a lot of time when doing a check on a person trying to enter a country
  4. You seem to miss one important point and that is you are at a busy international entry point where there are lots of camera's around and it would be too risky for any IO there to do anything like what you suggest, it is not a simple local immigration office
  5. Think about this. What documents do you need to produce to get a passport in your home country? Birth Certificate is one of those documents and even if you legally change your name your Birth Certificate still carries you registered name at birth and that can never be changed on your BC and that information along with your name change is encrypted in the chip on your passport and it does not matter what country in the world you go to they all scan the chip on your passport which shows them your name at birth and the name you are using now. So bingo here is a person who has thought that they could enter our country simply by changing their name and getting a new passport but on scanning their passport it shows that they were banned from entering our country under a different name which is also connected to this passport. What are we going to do with this person that wants to try and cheat our system and enter our country illegally whilst fully knowing that they have been banned? Out with the handcuffs and off to the detention centre for a hearing on the case and the verdict is this person is guilty of illegal entry to our country so you are sentenced to 5 years in prison after which you will be deported and a big red deported stamp placed in your nice new passport for all the world to see until you change your name and get a new passport again and never allowed to re-enter our country ever again
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Don't you get a "Marriage" extension if you are the legal parent of the children even after the death or divorce of your wife because there is no other type of visa or extension that covers this type of situation. If you are married and with your wife you need to have your wife with you but if there is "No" wife then maybe you will need to take the children with you to show immigration
  7. Some people think that they can just go and change their name and get a new passport and just by-pass everything. That is a false belief because even the new passport has information encrypted in it that links it to the old passport so when your new passport is scanned at the entry point to the country both your face recognition and the information on your passport will hit the alarm bells at immigration. What happens then is that you are not only refused entry but you will be taken to detention centre where you will be charged with attempting to enter the country illegally because you have been banned and you know it and then you can be jailed and deported or your ban will be extended and could lead to a life time ban
  8. I placed an order with a seller in China on Lazada on February 26 nd everything went smooth until the order was cleared by Chinese Customs and then the order stayed in China because China closed the border on March 4 but the order finally arrived yesterday April 21. I did look at the local sellers but they wanted 6 times the price and a 28 day pre-order which tells me that they want to rip the buyer off because they are buying the product from China then reselling at and the 28 day pre-order is to cover the delivery time from China to them but with the border closed they would not have been able to deliver either. Shoppee was the same. If you are buying from a local seller just make sure you have a look for the "28 day pre-order" near the price, if it is there then you can say for sure that the seller is buying the product from China.
  9. I buy mine from the 20 baht shop and they have all the different sizes so it is a case of if you do not want to do the math's then just go and buy a size bag and if it does not fit then buy the next size. At 20 baht a packet you can always find a use for the wrong size bags
  10. What about the kids happiness and future? Are you going to deny these children their right to access to their mother? If that is what your intensions are then I hope she does file a complaint and make it an Interpol case so that you can be arrested wherever you are. You are a selfish arrogant person who does not care about what the children may want, you are only caring about yourself and finding a place where YOU are safe and happy.
  11. I don't think there is a SD card with enough memory on it made to fit my dashcam that would be able to record every traffic infringement that I see in just this area in one day. But if the RTP want camera footage at 10,000 baht per infringement then I will own Thailand in about 3 weeks.
  12. By the sounds of things you are looking at long term residence. The first thing that you need to do is work out what part of the world you want to live in then check the immigration laws for all the countries in that area to see if you qualify for a long term visa. A friend of mine was in Vietnam on a short term tourist visa and he returned to Thailand and he decided to move to Vietnam on a long term visa but while he was making up his mind Vietnam changed their immigration laws and he could not get a long term visa anymore.
  13. It could have been the whole system that was affected for all you know and not just the SCB. Thanks to "old croc" for posting that the K bank system is working.
  14. Hey, come on possum don't down grade the banana republics to the same level as this lot. The banana republics don't deserve that
  15. We have just gone through a situation of a farang friend that is married to a Thai woman and he did not leave a Thai registered will and his wife went to get some money out of his account and the ATM machine kept the card so she went into the bank and she was told that she cannot access the account as her name is not listed on it and if she withdrew money from the account then she would be arrested and charged with theft as according to law the money is not hers until after probate. The account was in her husbands name only, not even a joint account. So she has to wait until everything goes through the Thai probate court system.
  16. You could possibly trust the health ministry but not the health minister. There are many nice knowledgeable people in the health ministry it is just a shame that they have to put up with this bozo the clown as their minister.
  17. The rules linked to a state of emergency take precedent of the countries laws. Do you know what it takes to pass a law? It takes weeks for the parliament to sit and argue the pro's and con's and then it goes to a vote and if passed it then goes to the King for approval and if he agrees with it then it is gazetted in the Royal Gazette which makes it law and then the same procedure is followed to rescind that law. So Anutin is correct that there is "NO LAW" but under the state of emergency there are rules put into place that are the same as laws but when the state of emergency finishes so do those rules and the current state of emergency is not controlled by Anutin it is controlled by the CCSA and the meetings are chaired by the PM Prayut not Anutin who does not even attend these meetings so it is typical running off at the mouth again Anutin and this is not the first time he has spouted off at the mouth which causes a lot of confusion.
  18. And then on February 4 this same Health Minister had to admit that he was not notified (which means that this idiot stuffed up again) by the CCSA of the result of a meeting which took place and the results of that meeting was published in the Royal Gazette in June 2021 which states that "face masks are required to be worn in public". First-time violators face a fine of up to 1,000 baht and the fines could go up to 20.000 baht with repeat offenders. This mandatory rule is still in force in the Royal Gazette and has never been rescinded, so it is still in force. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thailand-news-today-is-wearing-face-masks-in-thailand-mandatory
  19. Even Australia was court up in that EU export ban of AZ. Australia's order was diverted to EU countries after Australia had even paid for the AZ.
  20. You will not get Lazada orders by air, they are all by road
  21. Yes, I do take these messages literally because I have to plan around the delivery dates to be at home to receive the delivery
  22. But to send you an email stating that the delay is because the "border is closed" is lying and this is the point that I am trying to make about this issue. If Lazada state that the delay is because of staff shortages at their distribution depots because of Covid then people would accept that but to send emails stating that the delay is because the border is closed when it is not closed is a straight out lie and does nothing for Lazada's credibility
  23. Both of mine were packed and shipped at the same time, they both went through Chinese customs and the both left China on the way to Thailand but only 1 gets delivered and I am told the other is delayed because the border is closed. What border is closed if both packages have departed from China then both packages have crossed over the Chinese border. The only borders that are left to cross is Thai-Laos and Thai-Cambodia and both these borders are open for trade
  24. I understand that but the thing is what Lazada has stated to be the cause of the delay. In the email Lazada has stated that it is because the border is closed and with what I have here shows that what they are stating is a load of BS
  25. Here is something else that shows that the border was not closed. The package that was delivered is shown to have arrived at Thailand Customs at 14:00 on March 4 and the package that has not been delivered is shown to have departed China at 13:58 March 4. When was the border closed?
