Didn’t those other countries have a clear set of guidelines, regulations and laws in place first to minimize and potential negative effects though? That would seem to be the issue here.

I don’t think it’s possible for him to back up those claims and I also think it’s impossible to confirm them. However the poster is not wrong in repeating the rhetoric that is coming out of the right wing in the US. While deflecting from the difficult issue of gun control and especially mass shootings in the US, rather than tackle gun control laws, the right wing media with people like Tucker Carlson and friends blame weed for mass shootings. Quite a stretch with no evidence as far as I’m aware.

I’m in Thailand now where I work as a science teacher in a large International school although I did go back to the UK recently for just a few days as it’s the summer holidays now to visit a someone. So irrelevant question as the circumstances now are very different with Omicron both in The UK and Thailand.

We obviously mix in very different circles, no B.S. from this side and even less propaganda just appreciative of the work carried out by the health service in what was a very difficult time not just in the UK but nearly everywhere in the world.

I was one of those clapping for carers outside my front door in the evening, my neighbors all did the same. No pressure, no embarrassment, just an appreciative gesture for all the hard work done by carers and especially the hospital staff.

Do you really thing a sadistic monster would rape a nine year old and leave it at that without threatening her not to tell anyone? Poor girl was not only suffering from the pain of the rape but also the emotional trauma of not knowing what the hell just happened to her apart from it was hell. Not till 6 weeks later was mum made aware, either by the girl telling her of symptoms or mum herself noticing. You seem to think it would be a simple case of oh mum I got raped yesterday, I must have a pregnancy test and then abortion. Unbelievable lack of insight into a child’s emotions and trauma.

It’s about this girls case, not anybody else and no she had very limited options. A medical termination at 5 or 6 weeks is not a pleasant experience for anyone, let alone a 10 year old. It involves many hours at the hospital after taking the medication to wait for the induced abortion. For a 10 year old this would be horrific
