  1. Exactly. Even if you were moving to another province you would still be better off just obtaining your next extension with current address.
  2. My understanding based of few folk I have chatted with is if you actually have the funds in the bank then stamps issued at Jomtien immigration. Without funds the pp is sent upcountry for stamp. (Previously KK)
  3. Keep it simple. Obtain your extension at current immigration office. 90 day report should have nothing to do with 90 day reports, however recently at some offices they want you to provide TM47. Just tell them you have done it via mail and waiting. At some time after move do a change of address TM30 at new office. That can be done in person or via mail.
  4. If funds not in bank which immigration office does the stamps?
  5. Correct. BTW: If you don't have time to obtain new pp there won't be an issue with only 2 pages left. The reentry permit only takes half a page
  6. Up to you of course. The 30 day extension is a simple process. 1900baht. Some offices you can even make an appointment. Depends on your ongoing plans to visit Thailand. If it's generally under 60 days then vast majority would not bother with a tourist visa.
  7. Yes in UK you can apply for METV e-Visa online London. Why on earth would you want a METV which can actually provide stay up to 9 months. You plan to stay 58days.
  8. Read your thread. What part don't you understand. You are staying 58days. It's a no brainer. Enter visa exempt which gives you a 30 day stay. In last 2 weeks obtain 30 day extension = 30+30 days. Why make easy difficult.
  9. OP you only require 58days. Enter Thailand visa exempt which gives you a 30 day stamp. In the last couple of weeks of that stamp attend immigration and obtain a 30 day extension. 1900baht. BTW: the double entry tourist visa you mention was done away with years ago. Even if you applied in UK for a e-visa, you would not apply for a METV a single entry tourist visa provides 60 day stamp and also can be extended by 30 days.
  10. Yes I did and that is incorrect. You should read all posts from BritTim. You stated this regarding chap "assisting " Thai partner in hair salon .. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you are not being paid a salary. That is rubbish. Same as you "assisting" your wife in her business. Sure you may get away with it but that's irrelevant. Being paid has nothing to do with it.
  11. That previously was the case. Thinking that has changed and allows non Thai insurance companies. Thinking that change occured Sept last year? When there was change in required coverage
  12. For TM7 they basically accept any passport size photo. Not fussy at all.
  13. Agree. Perhaps the OP has done the basic research on maximum fine being 20k which equates to 40days+
  14. Should not be an issue. You could consider Vietnam. Depending on your pp country you may require a e-visa
  15. An overstay in Thailand does not affect returning. What is more important is time spent in Thailand leading up to the overstay. From memory I think that you had another recent thread outlining significant stay in Thailand?
  16. From the OP.... "I'm got my e-visa approved today 11th." Someone suggested enter Thailand visa exempt and not use the e-Visa. Subsequently do a border bounce and reenter using the e-Visa (SETV) I don't believe the border bounce (land entry) will work.
  17. There has been few threads on this. One was post of someone obtaining an e-Visa for Thailand from London. Then doing a side strip on route to Bangkok. https://aseannow.com/topic/1269388-obtaining-an-evisa-while-outside-of-your-home-country/ There is random info from Mr google that seems to indicate entry is via designated points of entry. Haven't seen land border entries.... eg..,.... Applicants can use the Thai eVisa on arrival to enter the country through the following designated International Airports: Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi International Airport – BKK. Bangkok – Don Mueang International Airport – DMK.
  18. Find your thread strange. First up only your first extension from a non O retirement starts your 90 day report count. After that that the 90 day report has nothing to do with annual extensions. Regards your extensions from a Non O-A, almost everyone has ditched that and moved to a Non O retirement or if married to Thai changed based on retirement to based on marriage as both those options avoid silly insurance requirements. Weird thread.
  19. Perhaps not dealing directly with thread. I have purchased few properties in Thailand into Thai partner name. The thing that I find amazing in Thailand is that at Land office, the official seems to check out out everything on both sides of the purchase. Example clear title and mortgage etc.
  20. Variations to your question have come up since the introduction of e-visa. One recent thread a guys tourist e-Visa (UK) was not approved in time and arrived in Thailand visa exempt. Subsequently he received his approved e-Visa. Was then asking if he could do a border bounce and enter with his e-Visa or alternatively fly out of Thailand eg to Vietnam and return with e-Visa. Some folk actively looking to exploit this poorly introduced "e-Visa" One example ....obtain your e-Visa and knowingly enter Thailand without producing it on arrival and be given 30 day stamp. Then use it later.
  21. They advised to obtain a SETV or visa exempt with extension. The latter would be popular choice.
  22. Nonsense in the example you provided. The immigration officer provided false information.
  23. Yes. You have flight to Laos already so some posts including mine are off topic. A screenshot of your flight within the 30 days will satisfy airline.
  24. You can apply for 30 day extension at immigration where you are staying. Does not not need to be Bangkok. Prior to attending immigration you need to obtain TM30 from the hotel where you are staying. If you are staying with eg friends you need to clarify.
