  1. It's not correct however you are dealing with Jomitien so all bets are off
  2. Not sure of the point of your thread. Mind you think for "use an agent" you left out one important reason. That being opportunity cost of maintaining 800k + on very low interest Thai bank account.
  3. With a visa exempt entry there is no need to do anything. No 90 day reports no TM30 etc. Nothing. However the moment you need to have dealings with immigration there are requirements. For example the 30 day stamp from visa exempt entry ..if you wish to obtain 30 day extension then most likely immigration will require you submit a TM30. There is some talk that visa exempt entry may be changed temporarily to 60 days.
  4. Would be very helpful if you can give trip report after return to Thailand. Regards your question 60 day visa exempt entry (another thread) random comments that late June early July. I would believe it when I see it.
  5. Some good posts from ubonjoe (no surprise) in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1204362-changing-jobs/
  6. Correct reply above. Thread closed.
  7. If someone (married to Thai) wants to eg stay 5 months per year in Thailand then fine.... Obtain a non O +60 day extension to visit wife= 5 months. Rince and repeat most likely no issue. To obtain a non O then back to back another non O clearly could cause issue. By way of example.....my early days in Thailand I was going to Saigon OFTEN and would obtain triple entry tourist visa to Thailand at Saigon consulate. At one point the io at the consulate stated.."this your last tourist visa. You older 50 and live Thailand. Get retirement visa"
  8. Told by who? Airport immigration? That is misinformation. You can travel with both pp internationally no problem.
  9. I deal with CW. That immigration office follows the law in relation to TM30 requirements. I regularly travel out of Thailand and never file a TM30 on return.. As it's not required.
  10. The airline was out of line. With a visa for Thailand an onward flight should not be required. In any event you were "questioned" I bet you obtained boarding pass.
  11. A non O can be obtained in your own country (depending on country) also at Thai consulate/embassies. Can also be obtained in Thailand from visa exempt and tourist visa entry.
  12. Immigration will want bank book proof from date of extension application. Not from expiry of previous permission of stay. In fact some immigration offices want to see the bank book 2 months prior to previous application. My first hand experience CW. As per usual requirements can depend on the immigration office/officer.
  13. Has been asked in various forms many times. Does not have clear answer.
  14. Agree. Your plan should be fine.
  15. Transfer of stamps not required in your situation. Just fly with both passports. Be mindful that at airport on return flight show reentry permit in old pp at check in. On arrival Thailand have your pp opened at reentry page. Obviously check that the io stamps you in to expiry date of reentry date.
  16. That will only give you visa exempt entry. What is current status. Meaning how did you enter Thailand and how many days remaining on current permission of stay.
  17. I don't understand what they are telling you. With a bank book in place your should be able to enter visa exempt and apply virtually straight away for a non O with a TM87 and required funds in bank account. Regards asking about border bounce, I don't follow.... They mentioned "obtain a tourist visa" that's not a border bounce. Tourist visa is obtained in Thai consulate/embassies.
  18. If he has not used 30 day extension to visa exempt entry then go to immigration with a TM7 and 1900b. (also TM30 and basic photocopies of pp)
  19. The suggestion I made re flying was down to OP ruling out minivans and also stated BKK to Udon Thani was too expensive. (It's under 2k return) For folk without significant recent history in Thailand, I often suggest mini holiday to Saigon. The OP stated that his plan was to go to Da Nang. Don't know why changed that plan. The OP favours train. The fastest express train to Nong Khai is approx 9hrs one way. More than flight BKK to Melb Oz No Thanks
  20. Closed in 2021 Nearest SCB to CW discussed in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1212096-scb-siam-commercial-bank-at-chaeng-wattana-immigration-division-1-has-closed-down/
  21. What you are referring to is that without a visa some airlines may wish to see onward flight.
  22. Application for a non O visa requires proof money from abroad. Money in bank for extensions does not need to be shown came from abroad. Yes you can use two bank accounts. There needs to be activity every month at some offices. OR Provide 12 months of bank statements. OR You use an FD account Application for non O in Thailand from visa exempt or tourist visa only needs to be in bank on day of application.
  23. I stated... "Which office will you be using? Reason being that I'm well aware Jomitien requires two months seasoning for non O application. I'm not about to qualify every post I make re non O or whatever with exceptions to the rules. Jomitien plays its own games.
  24. From OP..., ".....so it will be Chachoengsao Immigration Office"
