  1. Strange. Since covid there have been so so many threads asking about requirements for extensions to tourist visa and visa exempt entries. Reports back overwhelmingly that TM30 is required for these extensions. On the other hand they are not required for annual extensions from non O retirement. I have done extensions for 10 years at CW. Same address have never moved. I have NEVER even made one TM30 and certainly never asked for one when obtaining annual extensions. As usual various immigration offices have their own rules of how they like to play the game.
  2. Today I just returned from Saigon. To visit there I had to obtain a visa (Oz pp) also the only option was a single entry 30 day tourist visa. Thailand has a multitude of options including visa exempt, currently 45 days with simple process for 30 day extension. SETV, METV, NON O, etc etc Give me a break.
  3. A TM30 would not be required unless she has intention of obtaining an extension or dealing with immigration for any reason.
  4. Visa exempt stamp. Can apply for 30 day extension and also 60 day extension to visit wife if married to Thai.
  5. You are the one posting nonsense. It's common that to apply for an extension from a tourist visa or visa exempt entry you need to provide TM30. Hotels should file a TM30 as a matter of law and can easily provide screenshot of that for folk to show immigration. It's standard.
  6. If your passport expires earlier than the 365 days you will be given extension with expiry date matching your pp. So no big deal in your case as you only lose few days.
  7. As far as I'm aware CW is the only immigration office that has this requirement. No point in comparing Phuket.
  8. I last obtained a residence certificate 2 years ago in Bangkok. I had my lease and copy however didn't take it. I provided TM47 receipt (seemed to be main item) Also some basic pages from pp. 200baht and posted out within 1-2 weeks.
  9. If you are referring to obtaining an annual extension then correct answer is given above. Unless you can obtain a new passport prior to expiry of your current permission of stay then it would hardly be worthwhile to obtain an extension.
  10. The 800k maintained for 3 months is from application date. For the many guys (including myself) that just keep 800k + in a dedicated bank account, if they ever wish to change banks I suggest to do it in two hits after the 3 month requirement. So transfer say 400k three months after application and later the other 400k+. In your shoes I suggest check with immigration with bank book pages printed out for advice. For some reason immigration can be very fussy on this.
  11. CM is up to 45 days early. You can try earlier and show flight ticket. Your extension will only be issued up till date of expiry of pp. 12 months validity is fine. If you withdrew the funds from one account and placed then in another that may cause an issue. Sounds like you did that within 3 months of obtaining previous extension.
  12. Usually done couple of weeks prior to expiry have read reports of people obtaining them earlier. Check with immigration and explain.
  13. Yes you can obtain a 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry. You should have been given a 45 day stamp yesterday. The io was talking rubbish.
  14. Read 3 post on this thread from ubonjoe I will take his advice over yours. Never to old to learn!
  15. Most immigration offices do the extension from 30 days prior up till expiry of the 90 stamp. Some offices allow up to 45 days early eg CW, CM etc. Obviously do it early enough to attend to any added requests from immigration
  16. Extension from a visa exempt entry attend IT Mall Laksi. Extension from a tourist visa entry attend CW..
  17. Only one 60 day extension to visit wife per entry. You can obtain non O from Savannakhet or you could do border bounce reenter visa exempt and obtain non O marriage in Thailand
  18. Stop misleading posts. Folk obtaining a non O from visa exempt or tourist visa entry have a non O and 90 day stamp accordingly. They can then obtain subsequent ongoing 12 month extensions.
