Yes. With my recent one the approval email had a link and that opened the actual evisa. I then took screenshot and printed it. Note that was eVisa for Vietnam. Imagine similar steps for eVisa to Thailand.

@Yodarapper This is good info posted by @KhunBENQ.... Apart from that regarding agent.. I don't generally use agents for anything, however in March I will use BSR bikes (plenty of other agents) to assist with booking time slot etc for my 2 to 5 year licence. Still need to obtain own residence certificate, medical etc. Walk INS are available now however I used them during covid and found it good value. It's basically hand holding but imo worth it. 1800baht which included cost of licences.

Requirements for extension based on parent of Thai child vary from various immigration offices. Some would only require 400 on day of application for extension. As I posted earlier in this thread I doubt immigration would allow him to switch from based on marriage to based on support of Thai child while still married. In any event I didn't notice OP mention that he has Thai child.

I know who I would take notice of. Actually someone that is familiar with first hand experience. Just checked some Laos discussion forums and as expected not an issue. This is specifically referring to tourist places such as this thread staying couple nights in some random hotel Vientiane. No issue.

Have to update TM30 after border run?
DrJack54 replied to zekelin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
How did you reenter Thailand. If you have a multi entry visa then no TM30 required. If you did order bounce and reentered visa exempt then you need to do a TM30. Edit: I just see now in thread you started asking about visa exempt entry from Laos. So in regards to your question regarding TM30.....you need a new TM30 when you reenter Thailand. -
Residents certificate

For DTL in Bangkok they want a residence certificate or letter from embassy. -
Residents certificate
DrJack54 replied to DrukenMallardy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I assume that you have done 90 day reports in the past at CW. By stating that ...."I just had my visa renewed..." Assume that you mean a new annual extension. Either way the desk for residence certificate will ask for your last TM47 receipt. -
Have to update TM30 after border run?
DrJack54 replied to zekelin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's true that requirements change according to where you live. You indicate that this visit you entered on tourist visa (60 days) When you enter next time if you do so again on a tourist visa or visa exempt you will need to to a new TM30. -

OP, which immigration office do you use. This is important. -
Certificate of residence in Chaeng Wattana
DrJack54 replied to motyduke's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Take your most recent TM47 receipt. Immigration will want that for application for residence certificate. I'm in similar spot. Went to Oz last December and this week going to Vietnam. When return I need to renew TDL from 2 to 5 years. I will take along my last 90 day report. -
Visa Extention Jomtien
DrJack54 replied to maxcorrigan's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In this thread it's recommended not to use downloaded form at Jomtien. Weird. Some other relevant information in the thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1275382-doing-my-yearly-marriage-what-papers-at-jomtien/
