  1. The 45 day stamp for visa exempt entry is due to end March 31. So indeed a tourist visa would be best. So you can obtain a 30 day extension to your tourist visa entry. Once married you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. 21 days. Are you obtaining the non O in CM? You have your bases covered. Best of luck.
  2. The visa company is wrong. You can obtain a non O based on marriage or retirement inside Thailand from a tourist visa OR visa exempt entry. When do you plan to come to Thailand?
  3. You need to clarify what your friend actually has. If it's a VALID non O-A visa (not expired). Is he currently in Thailand? When is expiry of his non O-A? Not expiry of his current permission of stay.
  4. Not sure why you are bothering with a tourist visa when seems that your trip is soon. Visa exempt entry until end of March provides 45 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days. As for onward flight you can look at cheapest throw away ticket or rent a ticket or rent an onward flight if you decide to enter visa exempt. Apart from getting married you require a Thai bank account in your name only to obtain a non O marriage in Thailand. Do you have that?
  5. Street check of what. Would not be for 90 day report. You don't need to have your last TM47 receipt in your pp. Why would you even be carrying your pp in the street. Have identify page and latest entry stamp at best as screenshot in phone.
  6. Most likely because you will need to show 12 months of transfers without embassy letter.
  7. You can refresh which gives you a more simple one. The one you posted looks like... 6H8JXD
  8. It's 2 months prior to application. Which immigration office. The notice also refers to age restrictions. Outdated. Also not related to extension expiry date. The 2 months prior to and for 3 months after refers to date of application for extension.
  9. Interesting. Knew that was the case for first extension from a non O without income letter. So you needed to show 12 months of transfers even if changing from money in bank method to income method. So at Rayong you maintained the funds in bank for the previous 12 months and also made 12 months of monthly transfers?
  10. If you are changing from the money in bank method to income method, I suggest that you maintain the 800k till date of application and start the 65k transfers 2 months prior to application. That would have you covered for both methods at time of application. I assume you do not have income letter from your embassy.
  11. In reality given that we can all stuff up and immigration so strict on the rules regarding money in bank method ....the best option is to maintain 800k+ all year round in a dedicated bank account.
  12. 800k for 2 months prior to extension and 3 months after extention. Can go down to 400k at other times
  13. No problem. In my book Vietnam best option by far. Also Saigon airport very close to district 1 and Thai consulate. Be aware that requires appointment and needs forward planning as consulate booked out weeks in advance. Forget the couple of days idea. Stay a week up.
  14. Thanks for reply. If possible can you list what you provided for residence certificate. Last time I did one i provided some basic photocopies of pp ages along with TM47 receipt and rental contract. Think recall the contract handed back. I need to obtain one soon..ish
  15. Indeed they are. Added off topic question: Looking at list for appointments it seems not available to obtain Certificate of Residence. Is that correct? Need one for TDL Renewal.
  16. Samui has always had it's own rules. Not really applicable to most of Thailand. You also state.... "DLT will only issue to holders of Pink Card and Yellow Book. Tessaban will only issue to holders of Yellow Book" Where is that. Those items you mention will not cut it in most locations
  17. Some offices 45 days prior. Some (most) 30 days prior. Indicate your immigration office and receive accurate info.
  18. Banks also in recent times require certificate of residence to open bank account.
  19. They have always done that and still do. They also previously provided 'letter' to authorize stamp transfer. Now they put stamp in new pp. This has replaced need for letter.
  20. Passport is the property of the issuing government. The letter gives Thai immigration approval to transfer stamps etc.
  21. I asked that question of Bangkok agent name BSR bikes some time ago. Their answer attached. I always thought for transport offices in Bangkok is was one month. BTW medical certificate for TDL much shorter period.
  22. Can you elaborate on that plan! Go to another city and obtain a certificate of residence?
  23. Given up commentating on CM. From their TM30 made up rules and other rubbish. Nonsense immigration office.
