You really need to ask the relevant DLT as they seem to differ in what they require/will accept.
He will require a Residence Certificate

I don't have insurance and been here several years.
When did government insist that people have insurance. Of course I'm referring to expats living here and not having extensions to a non O-A (retirement)

Why not try the local police station.
That's where I got my first CoR.
I just showed them where I was staying and he wrote a short note stating my name and address.
DLT accepted this.
Maybe worth a try
Not possible

Sorry, I only know TVC in Bangkok. The only agent I've used personally was in Chiang Mai.
So you used an agent in CM to obtain a Residence Certificate?
I was not aware that was possible.

The gf states that Bkk will not go into lockdown. When I ask why she tells me that the government cannot afford it.
Is this just Thai thinking?
She's normally right about these things.
Yes reads as a looney tune post.
What were the numbers when they closed national parks in think April.
I'm interested as I'm currently in one

OP, I have been reading accounts of Aussie folk efforts to come back to Thailand. Apparently the application to leave Oz have become very difficult. Even having a wife for example does not give a tick on your application. Think your first step would be to concentrate on that.
The non o etc is the easy part.
BTW being Oz you cannot obtain a non o retirement in Australia so the visa exempt is an option. Don't get your hopes up.
-
No.
You could enter visa exempt and obtain new non o . Then annual extension. You obviously have Thai bank so easy process for you.
If you were in Thailand already and simply late on applying for new extension then immigration would have you pay overstay and apply for new extension

Using an agent is perfectly legal, but 25k??
Think you will find that's about right if the agent had to obtain the non o first.
For ongoing extensions would be closer to 16k a pop.

On line with a May 1st report back date.
when approved I expect a May 15 report back date.
I think the issue is for those like myself, have done their last report in person.
An example......I did online report approx Nov last year. Then did in person report ~ Feb. My current report by date is April 28.
The info about the most recent in person report I did is not in the online system and furthermore my attempt at doing the online report failed.

May I ask how was your previous report made?

You should therefore make a Will making your wishes clear.
I'm a slow learner and your advice is clearly best option. Think I have been trying to avoid that. Put a townhouse, car etc in her name. Have a bank account for her in her name. It's just the dosh that's in the bank (for extension) that is the issue but no way round that.
I WILL make a WILL.
Can't help but wonder how many expats in similar situation do not have one. It's OK till it's NOT

Who said it's fixed. Let's wait until someone reports that they have successfully made a 90 day report online. I just used the web and the app.
Both showing my last online report but not showing my last report which was in person. When I try to do my next (due April 28) it tells me to report to local immigration office.
The thread heading should read .....is NOT working

I have heard a few other expats talk about this so-called "invisible signature" wherein the wife is placed on the account, but with no name in the book; however, I am fairly certain that they are referring to this method of POA and have simply misunderstood the bank clerk's interpretation of the process. IT'S A POA
Thanks for this information. I for one will follow up on this and hopefully have some joy. I wonder how many expats are living here with wife/partner and have nothing in place. I'm one of the extensions retirement using money in the bank. In fact I don't use the account at all apart for annual trip to immigration. What happens to that money if I fall off the perch tomorrow.

You did not answer the question about 90day/3 month checks.
What question. Anyway what 3 month check. Only Jomtien and very few other offices require that.
If you use an agent example Pattaya your stamps will most likely be obtained in another immigration office.

Go for it.
Report back.
First up I checked "status" and it showed my last online report. It did not show the one I did after that in person. As pointed out the in person and mail reports do not show up.
I then tried to do report. After filling in the data I had visit from old friend with the bad news we all dread....."check with your local immigration office"
Oh the pain. Just when I thought it was over!

Dumb question but I'll ask anyway.
I did my report 20 days before due date April 28 by mail. Many reports of very late returns.
Can I do it online now even though I have mail one presumably being processed?

. Next year, I'll make a copy of the updated page
Very easy for folk dealing with CW with the added appointment system.
A tip for folk using money in bank retirement for extension.
From your bank at CW (apart from SCB) make a deposit (eg 100baht) and ask the teller to photocopy the last page after deposit. She will know what you require.
Of course also the bank letter.

Agents in Pattaya for almost half that around 15k. (Apparently)
The OP,s posts are confusing. However it would seem he has been obtaining extensions perhaps 60 day covid extensions?
If the agent is obtaining a non o and 12 month extension, my guess is more than 15.
For folk that use agents ongoing then yes 15k (or slightly less) to just obtain extensions.

But will it not be counter check by Immigration if there's a money in the bank or not? And is it not illegal?
The fee that your paying is for immigration to "overlook" the money in the bank requirement.
There will be posters (usual suspects) that will post it's all very illegal.
Bottom line its common place and stamps are issued by immigration.

OP, an expert will be along. I think Brazil is one of the countries that has bilateral arrangement with Thailand and can obtain 90 day stay with visa exempt entry?

33 minutes ago, ChrisDoyle said:And also if agent, for 25k Baht fee, they say 800k deposit is not required, doesn't it violate written immigration laws?
An agent is able to obtain you a non O based on retirement and subsequent 12 month extension for 25k. The stamps are real and valid.
If you had the 800k in the bank and were able to leave it in the bank then you could have obtained what I just outlined for 2000+1900 baht. Total ~ 4k
Would seem now you need an agent and I mentioned 25k in previous posts.
I suggest use an agent with history, reviews etc, an office (not a virtual one).

Misunderstood your post. Sorry.
It was on the back of post from someone that suggested he could possibly obtain something from police.
