Pita said that the second vote on PM will not be easy. When asked whether he would compromise on the lèse majesté issue, he said that, for now, the mission remains the same. He said he is not giving up on trying to talk to and gain more votes from other MPs and senators. https://twitter.com/ThaiPBSWorld/status/1679456294925914113

Isn't that breaking the law wearing no helmet? Senator Kittisak Rattanawaraha, who’s been one of the most vocal and strident opponents against@MFPThailand and @Pita MFP was seen leaving parliament early before the end of the vote.

Parliament will vote for PM anew on July 19 & 20 & MFP PM candidate #Pita Limjaroenrat's name will be resubmitted. Listening to junta-appointed senators today, it's most unlikely the results will differ. Most were against Pita's pledge to amend lese majeste law. https://twitter.com/PravitR/status/1679443893715374087

Chances of Thailand’s @Pita_MFP being voted as PM are now next to zero as senators appointed by royalist and military establishment consistently ignore results of election dominated by his coalition parties that showed the people’s will #WhatsHappeningInThailand https://twitter.com/TostevinM/status/1679430823789953025

Time for a coffee or two me thinks: #โหวตนายก 15.55h: The vote for a Prime Minster is a roll call of all 500 MPs and 250 Senators (in alphabetical order), as they have to publicly declare whether they approve @Pita_MFP as PM or not. Abstentions count as “no”. Pita needs at least 376 or more votes to be confirmed. https://twitter.com/SaksithCNA/status/1679414585424748544

Welcome to the fortress: Jonathan Head @pakhead · Bizarre, slightly disturbing tactic by the Thai authorities outside parliament. Do they really think they can conceal the fact that they’ve had to barricade the country’s parliament because of the move to block the party that won the May election from power? Quote Tweet · Thai authorities covered the shipping container, which was placed around the parliament building, with cloth sheets depicting tourist destinations in Thailand, in order to block demonstrations today This is a country that claims to be a “democracy” https://twitter.com/pakhead/status/1679363810157826048
