  1. I'm alright Jack: #Thai police summoned Mr. Pongpat Rungroj, 22, last night after being seen in a viral photo on social media walking out of the #Sattahip Mountain B nightclub fire that killed fifteen people and injured dozens with a bottle of alcohol and mixers. https://twitter.com/The_PattayaNews/status/1556093996207722496
  2. You need to inform the Daily Mirror. There is still speculation as to who the real owner is. I suggest you read previous posts.
  3. (1/2) A singer at the burnt down Mountain B Pub in Chonburi province which killed 14 on Friday and injured dozens said the pub always locked the two rear exit doors for fear of customers leaving without paying. (2/2) Thanapat Puangpae said Sat after laying flowers he always entered the pub from one of the back doors & a guard would come to unlock it & then locked it after the musicians entered. He admits he didn't think such tragedy would occur. https://twitter.com/KhaosodEnglish/status/1555843330529198080
  4. A representative of the Mountain B pub’s owner claims that there were 3 fire exits, but she didn’t know that they had all been locked from the outside, as she insisted that the proprietor is ready to compensate relatives of the dead and injured. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/15-now-dead-in-chon-buri-pub-blaze-fire-exits-all-locked-from-the-outside/
  5. Yes, conflicting reports re the owner. Taken from the BP: Pongsiri Panprasong, the 27-year-old pub owner, said it opened about two months ago and he submitted a request to operate as a pub on June 13.

  11. And, I'm sure many don't report. 12. I guess this applies to only those that actually have a licence. Very few I would say.
  13. Where is your location? Bang Sue in Bangkok. Register thru your mobile provider till 31 of this month and maybe longer. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/free-covid-booster-shot-on-offer-for-all-at-bang-sue-vaccination-centre/
  14. Although you are being paid 4 weeks in arrears whereas using Wise Ltd, payments are in advance and you can also choose when and how much to send when rates are to your liking. Think about it.
  15. A UK pension can be paid into a Thai bank of your choosing every 4 or 13 weeks in arrears. As this involves a change of circumstances, you will have to either write or telephone the international pensions centre. Using Wise Ltd is a far better option as you can transfer monies to Thailand as and when the xrate is favourable. UK Pensions can pay to Wise weekly if your wish but transferring weekly would incur further fees. Wise does not pay interest.
  16. Your pension was due today. Banks were closed yesterday therefore your payment will be a day late. You will almost certainly receive the payment tomorrow morning.
  17. FRANCESCA REGALADO, Nikkei staff writerJuly 12, 2022 13:22 JST BANGKOK -- Thailand enters a five-day weekend on Wednesday with doctors warning that a COVID surge and undercounted cases are belying the government's ambitious reopening scheme. https://asia.nikkei.com/Spotlight/Coronavirus/Thailand-s-misleading-COVID-numbers-cast-a-shadow-on-reopening
  18. Even if it is being shown on one of the Thai TV channels, I for one wont be watching it. The salary that players receive just for kicking a ball about is absolutely disgusting.
  19. Calls that I don't recognize are not answered. Simple solution and far safer that actually answering a call.
  20. Leading Thai physician urges Public Health Ministry to reveal actual number of new Covid-19 cases, including all asymptomatic and mild cases A Thai physician who specialized in emerging infectious diseases urged the Ministry of Health to reveal the actual number of Covid-19 new cases as the number may have gone far beyond the one currently disclosed to the public, according to him. https://tpnnational.com/2022/07/09/leading-thai-physician-urges-public-health-ministry-to-reveal-actual-number-of-new-covid-19-cases-including-all-asymptomatic-and-mild-cases/
  21. An average of 29,000 cases daily is not the same as actual daily cases. That figure we shall never know unless actual daily cases are reported which includes of course mild symptoms, but for the CCSA to publish these figures is asking too much.
  22. We're only in July not August. Link for the 29,000 cases reported please.
  23. How will this work with foreign tourists who need a hotel would have to book on Agoda or Booking.com? Will the hotel rates be adjusted? Those in country, as pointed out earlier, would only need a Thai name to book. It appears to me that this idiotic plan will be directed to only telephone calls to the hotel.
  24. It was only a matter of time: Bangkok’s Chulalongkorn Hospital is now banning visits to patients in all wards, as a precautionary measure following a new surge in new COVID-19 infections. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/chula-hospital-bans-all-visits-to-ward-patients-as-new-covid-19-cases-surge/
