  1. Then you choose to pay the normal instead of reduced tariff.
  2. The most elegant solution is 2 keys or 2 NFC cards that restore the seats to separate stored positions.
  3. Only EV's what about wealthy owners of supercars?
  4. The UK wants people to install EV Chargers at home that are linked to their WiFi. When you come home you plug your car in, the National Grid will turn your charger on when it suits them and in return will charge your car cheaper than if you didn't have a WiFi enabled charger or chose to bypass, your car will still be fully charged in the morning, they guarantee that. I think this is what you are referring to.
  5. I doubt they will ever restrict acceleration, if they did, they would have to do it Lambo's , Ferrari's etc, or do you allow rich people to have a different law?
  6. I am factoring in the most efficient method of producing hydrogen today, AFAIK there is no miracle production method around the corner. 1000 Joules of electrical energy electrolysing Hydrogen produces Hydrogen with an energy content of 300 Joules. You can't achieve significantly better because a lt of that energy goes into producing Oxygen at the same time. The Mary Barra CEO of GM said in July this year that they intend to have their entire range EV only in the next 12 years and "We're still the only, um, full-line manufacturer with all our brands that have made that commitment.” I agree that we may see H2 Fuel Cell vehicles, they are likely to be cheaper because they will be less desirable because they will cost 300% more per kilometer on fuel.
  7. Perhaps the AC in Bandersnatch's car was keeping the roof cool. I would expect the roof panel to be hotter when parked in the sun, but hopefully not unbearably so. On another matter, I saw a Facebook post of a Seal wrapped in matt frozenberry (my favourite colour) if anyone knows the make of the wrap please let me know, I can't find the post anymore.
  8. I have written 2 letters. One to the AMLO asking for a copy of the legal requirements & guidelines for KYC of Foreign Nationals on Cryptocurrency exchanges. Another to Khun Top, the CEO of BitKub expressing my astonishment at his company him removing a system that works before he has another system ready. I will be sending another to the British Council in Thailand expressing surprise that they awarded Khun Top a high accolade when he is discriminating against British in Thailand (and in fact all foreign nationals). I suspect there is something else at play here. The authorities don't wany Foreigners on Cryptocurrency exchanges at any cost.
  9. Dear Valued Customer, As Bitkub Exchange is undergoing an enhancement of the verification (KYC) system in order to raise the service standard and comply with the related law and guidelines for account verification issued by the Anti-Money Laundering Office of Thailand, the document uploading method has been deactivated since 1 July 2023. As a result, some customers including foreign nationals are unable to submit their verification documents temporarily. We are sorry for not being able to tell you the exact closure of the uploading documents method time. In case your account is temporarily suspended from THB deposit, crypto deposit, or crypto buying due to incomplete verification, you can sell or transfer your assets as usual anytime. Storing the assets on your account is also an option. Foreign nationals are currently unable to submit their verification documents. Any account that is due for periodic review (KYC Update) but unable to complete the verification for any reason within the specified period, such an account will be temporarily suspended from THB deposit, crypto deposit, and crypto buying accordingly until the verification is successfully completed. However, an account owner can sell or transfer their assets as usual at any time. They can also store the assets on the account as all assets are secured on our system at all times. If there is any update about new verification methods, we will announce it immediately through our official communication channels. Please stay tuned for further announcements from us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you may have experienced and will do our best to improve the services. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime. We are here 24/7. Thank you for your trust and for choosing Bitkub Exchange
  10. I am impressed to see the glass roof was so cool, it looks like the tint treatment is doing its job, maybe it is surface coated after all.
  11. Do you accept BEV's are 3 times more efficient than a Hydrogen Fuel Cell car? The reason being the cost of producing hydrogen, typically from Electrolysis (other methods even more expensive). If you know of a way that increases a Hydrogen Fuel Cell car's efficiency to anything approaching a BEV, I'd like to hear it? Agreed some efficiency is lost moving heavy batteries around, conversely there is no heavy engine and a lot of the energy in getting that heavy vehicle moving is recuperated on slowing down.
  12. The guy who wrapped my last car in self-healing PPF is having a look around to see what is on the market, I sent him your link.
  13. Cue: @transam or in English, let's have some more ridiculous statements
  14. Here's why you're wrong. Tesla have been selling their EV's in hot states like Arizona for 14 years and data has been compiled on their cars that suggest battery degradation at that time is still less than 10%.
  15. I think that is exactly what’s needed, let’s hope it’s available in Thailand.
  16. I agree with you on longevity, I can’t see any external film lasting longer than 3-5 years, I think that’s the average length of a wrap. I hope the black film on the MG4 roof doesn’t need replacing every 3-5 years. I will probably fit external film on mine, I will ask the guy who wrapped my previous EV what he can do.
  17. Is your TimeMachine broken and stuck in last century?
  18. Sounds not dissimilar to the cost of a new engine in an ICE car. Thank goodness batteries last more than 18 years.
  19. I hate badges on cars. I have 2 sets of the black BYD badges for the front & back. The front I will use because if you remove the badge it will leave a BYD indentation. I have the BYD, 3.8S and AWD badges in black for the back, but I think I will remove every badge and just replace the 3.8S badge with the black one, I don't want the SEAL badge either, I prefer the clean look. I consider the AWD badge to be crass, much like the Twin Cam, 16v, ABS, Turbo & worst of all Skyactiv Technolgy, all total b?ll?cks.
  20. I don't think those numbers are going to be right on an already tinted glass roof. Everything the film reflects is going to be absorbed by the tinted roof panel and make it hotter. The roof is probably already blocking more than 90% of heat and light, but unless the roof has a reflective exterior coating, the roof panel is absorbing the heat and getting hot in the sun. You could tint it to 100% on the underside and it will still get just as hot. On my second test drive, I checked the roof and it was not letting the heat of the sun through, but when it was stationary the glass panel was getting very hot and that made my head uncomfortable. No thin film on the inside of the roof can reduce that. The problem with that glass panel, is it is not reflecting IR but absorbing it, it needs a solution to either reflect it before it hits the panel or something below it to stop the glass panel radiating the heat onto your head (which they do provide).
  21. I am not convinced that putting film on the sunroof on the inside of the car is the way to go. Most heat has already been absorbed by the glass's tint & the new film reflecting it back is likely to be absorbed again by the glass's tint. I think the way to go is to prevent the heat (infra-red radiation) from reaching the glass and therefore prevent the glass from getting hot. hot glass will radiate it's heat regardless of what film is on there. That means installing the film on the outside is the way to go.
  22. All MG EV's, Standard Range Ora Good Cat (not 500 version), base Tesla Model 3, all BYD cars in Thailand LFP has another advantage, it has twice the charge cycles of NMC, it also safer especially in hot climates. You will often find "Performance" versions of EV's use NMC because it has a higher energy density, but NMC is not ideal.
  23. This stuff installed on top of the roof can reflect roughly half to 3/4 of the heat and still allow decent light transmission. 3m-sun-control-window-film-prestige-ext-family-card.pdf
  24. On the test drive, I found the glass roof blocks out almost all of the sun's infra-red radiation. But the roof panel absorbs them and gets hot unless the car is moving then the breeze over the roof keeps it close to ambient temperature. Ideally, any film should be reflective and installed on the outside to prevent the glass from absorbing the heat. I don't know whether it's available, it's more likely to be a wrap than anything else, perhaps a chrome wrap would both reflect the sun and allow you to see through it. It might be worth checking a car wrap shop and see if you can look through the wrap from the back. I am told the black roof on the MG4 is actually a vinyl wrap.
