I would be fascinated to know the legalities of this. My first thoughts are, it's a small step from refusing owners/tenants access for one night, to booking the pool out for a week, a month, a year, permanently. It's likely to be the same tenet under the law. Unless I am mistaken, changes to common areas require raising at an AGM or an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) at which a quorum must be present and a certain percentage must vote in favour. If I was an owner, I would be speaking to the Juristic Manager/Management Company to understand in full detail what the benefits to the co-owners is and what process they followed to book it out to a private function.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Does the Seal have launch control? On the high performance VAG EV Sport Coupe’s, Launch control boosts the output power for a few seconds. -
Just 2 problems with that, 1st their jurisdiction is St. Kitts & Nevis and 2nd, that’s not the same WR Life Company that you sign up with. IMHO it’s a long game scam, they will pay out small claims but not big ones and will trade until someone stops them.

I think you're dead wrong, a few guys from Leeds UK, just spent hundreds of thousands of baht buying bud. People are stocking up, either that or they are dealers in the UK.
-
WR Life is a limited liability partnership registered in the UK with 2 non-resident partners in France and India. They would be prohibited from carrying on business in Thailand if they were registered here. What are you going to do if they don't pay? who will you sue? which non-existent regulator or ombudsman will you appeal to?

Don't believe hyperbole

I did read the Op and also much more detail elsewhere, if you have a prescription then it's not recreational, I think you'll find you can buy with a prescription.
-
You might recall, this is exactly what I said would happen. I think you’ll find with a fairly easy to obtain prescription, you will still be able to buy your buds.

Apparently the Seal is equipped with an electrochromic panoramic glass roof. This means it can change it's tint dynamically by applying an electric current, perhaps buried in the infotainment system is a setting or maybe it lightens when you turn on the headlights? Could it be because it's a sports saloon and not an SUV?
-
Not really, consumers aren't paying anything like that. That article makes unrealistic assumptions

Why? Are you going back under your bridge with your postman husband? -
Towns and cities will need very few EV charging Stations (CS) because they will only be used by travelers from another distant town. Pretty much every EV has a range of over 300km, so if you are going on a long trip you need a CS every 250km and if visiting someone not as far as 300km then you need one every 150km so you can charge up on the way back. What we are likely to see is large EV charging parks on major highways, current petrol stations are likely to convert to EV and hopefully will display an indicator displaying number of free slots, they are about every 5-15km so likely to be plenty. Smart entrepreneurs may build CS with 100's of spots with multiple restaurants/coffee shops etc. Most EV's today do offer the ability to charge on EV from another, but very slowly and I don't see that taking off. Range anxiety is something only new owners of an EV or non-owners worry about. I did until I did my first long distance trip on highway 1, then I realised there were dozens of chargers.

Tents have to charge 7% VAT on the sales price of the vehicle. Sometimes they will absorb that cost themselves if they have a high profit margin in the sale eg you bought on finance. 12 years ago after I finished commuting from Pattaya to Bangkok every week, I sold a Camry to a tent in Pattaya with over 100k kms on it, I later saw it in my condo building with 30k kms recorded on it.

Breathalyzer tests proposed for Thai nightlife venues
JBChiangRai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Nonsense, they can't be administered within 20 minutes of last drink or it's an instant failure from mouth alcohol. -
Have you noticed any difference in performance between the two?
