  1. There’s money to be made from writing fiction, though I don’t see an audience for the particular genre in which you seem to specialize.
  2. Yes wheelchairs fly free. You’ll be permitted to use your wheelchair as far as the aircraft where, once seated, your wheelchair will be taken and placed in the aircraft hold, to returned to you when you disembark. The same goes for ‘invalid strollers’. A couple of years back I crashed while racing and fractured my pelvis, When I returned home I flew both my bike and an ‘invalid stroller’. The bike was charged at sports equipment rate, there was no charge for the ‘stroller’. I definitely would attach an AirTag to a wheelchair given the absolute necessity it is. Also because it will only be folded, not placed in a bag, make sure any lose items, bags etc and any brake canes are taped or strapped close to the frame. If your wheelchair has a battery then definitely discuss with the airline well before your flight.
  3. On that we agree. It is nevertheless one of the finest cities in the planet.
  4. From my experience of living in Edinburgh is the Scottish are rather supportive of the Royal family. The Queen Mum was held in high regard as was Lizzy and Charles. Things might have been different in some communities in Glasgow.
  5. Oh I see, it was the Irish and the Scotts engaged in these atrocities, not absentee landowners. And let’s not mention Cromwell.
  6. It is not stating the genocidal policies are of recent decades. You are clearly deliberately misreading the statement.
  7. I’ll be kind. Perhaps history wasn’t your favorite subject.
  8. I’ll be kind. Perhaps English isn’t your first language.
  9. Pointing out past English atrocities is not ‘blowing any kind of a trumpet’.
  10. He made no claim of genocidal British policies in the last decades, not in Ireland or anywhere else. Which didn’t ought to need to be stated given your misunderstanding (almost certainly deliberate) of Neeranam’s very clear post has already been corrected.
  11. Where to start: The poster Farage was very clearly fear mongering, and precisely the racist dog whistling that was denied earlier in the thread. Uncontrolled immigration is a direct result of the Tory Government having lost control of the UK’s borders. Pre-Brexit there were always unfilled job vacancies, EU we others were not cheap, the Indian, Filipino and African workers they have been replaced with certainly are. The NHS and housing crisis are a direct result of 14 years of Tory Government failures, privatization of health services and not building anywhere near the numbers of hides the nation needs. The EC has not made trading difficult, the UK economy and UK businesses were thriving on tariff free, bureaucracy free trade with the EU, it is BREXIT that has stripped the UK of that free trade access. I agree, the current Government are failing to do anything to improve matters.
  12. When millions of ‘Christians’ support a guy who had sex with a pornstar while his wife was nursing their newborn child, I would agree that something about ‘family values’ has failed.
  13. Consistency is the key to improving fitness, especially as we age. Do you wear a heart monitor or watch with pulse monitoring? I’ve been using a Polar monitor for about 15 years now, apart from being useful as a training aid, it’s a very good precaution against over exertion in hot weather. My pulse is normally with a predictable range but there have been a few occasions in hot weather that it’s gone over what I regard as my maximum pulse. Also, since you are riding more regularly consider supplementing your electrolytes. I add half a sachet of Royal-D electrolytes to my first water bottle on each ride and after very long rides (80Km +) I add one sachet to two liters of water that I drink in first hour or so after the ride.
  14. Corbyn is already employed in his full time job as ‘Bogeyman’ for the Tories and their dwindling number of supporters. Whenever they find themselves being criticized for any mess of their own making they break the emergency glass on the ‘Corbyn deflection’.
  15. ‘Costumes as evidence’ It’s straying from the McCarthyist to the Kafkaesque.
  16. When I quote a post I stick to topic. You should try that. You do know how to use the ‘trac-back’ function?
  17. It’s not a ‘buzz word’ People with a very close connections to ‘hedge funds’ backed BREXIT then laid investment bets against the UK. Your claims to have worked for 25+ years with ‘hedge funds’ are as credible as any other anonymous internet claim. I suggest rather that you rely on arguments that the likes of Crispin ‘Odious’ not ‘rake it in’. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/hedge-fund-manager-describes-moment-he-won-ps220-million-brexit-vote-the-morning-has-gold-in-its-mouth-a7323626.htmlIt’s
  18. I suggest you follow the thread of our discussion, if you are unable to do that then I’m not qualified to provide the necessary help you need.
  19. If you are having difficulty following the thread of a discussion it might be something on which to seek qualified assessment.
  20. I note there is almost no sympathy, in most cases zero, expressed for the victim amongst those who leap to political grandstanding on the tragedy of this child’s rape and murder. RIP little one.
  21. No secret at all. And no surprise that so many leaders of the leave campaign and leave backers have very close ties to hedgefunds.
  22. Did you miss this bit?: “We will reset the relationship and seek to deepen ties with our European friends, neighbours and allies.”
