  1. They are a tax deductible cost, so no they do not come out of profits.
  2. Personal attacks are never deserved. Yes I do realize, it’s also less than Saunsbury have allocated for a share buy back, which adds nothing to the company profitability but does pad out share price with a faux ‘improvement’. And…. It’s tax deductible, so on that ‘financial literacy thing…?.
  3. Oh so that wasn’t you inserting a link to ‘Tax raising budget’?
  4. Yet more personal attacks. The costs just went up by less than half of 1% and even that is deductible against taxes on profits.
  5. All this anger and personal attacks over taxes you aren’t paying, what’s going on guys?
  6. One more time, myths, like increased taxes on working people in the Autumn budget don’t exist. A bit like unicorns, they don’t exist either. Let me know what bits of the budget have made more harder for you, I’m always willing to listen.
  7. Not at the moment no. Snd no there have been no tax increases for working people, as per the Labour Manifesto. And by the way, average worker losing money but you don’t want to talk about minimum wage increases….
  8. But you can’t actually say what taxes have risen for working people. I wonder why that is?
  9. You have a good point. During the energy crisis Labour did suggest windfall taxes on energy companies. The Tories chose to protect energy windfall profits with tax funded subsidies to consumers. EDL, who you mention, were subject to price controls in their home county. So while I don’t know when Labour will tax windfall profits, I fully expect t them to do so if windfall profits are made at cost to consumers.
  10. Same question for you, point out the tax increase for n working people.
  11. Yes, he’s making a prediction. it’s an opinion. And it’s not a tax.
  12. No, taxes are detailed in the budget, the definition of taxes is defined in the tax laws.
  13. James is playing fast and loose with the meaning the word ‘tax’.
  14. And if it doesn’t you’ll hope that in the interim 6 months we’ve all forgotten your predictions, which I expect t you’ll only replace with more.
  15. Yep some taxes went up, this thread is discussing one of them. But taxes on working people did not go up. Was that a flounce I wonder?
  16. Can you point out which part is an increase in tax on working people?
  17. Enough to not fall for claims of tax increases that don’t exist on working people.
  18. Labour promised not to raise taxes for working people. Taxes have not been raised for working people.
