  1. I don’t support the idea of ‘buying privilege’ while I have expressed no views on the people who do so. People pay taxes for all manner of goods and services they pay for out of money they earned and that was already taxed. Do you have the math on the costs you refer to?
  2. ‘always to the detriment of the British people?’ Labour’s October budget allocates £billions of extra funds to the NHS, Schools and education. Definitely not to the detriment of the British people who use and rely on those services.
  3. ‘Woeful and dangerous’? If your claim is correct then it is the business of Government to improve those comprehensives, and if so why didn’t the last Government fix the alleged ‘woeful and dangerous comprehensives’? In the meantime Labour’s October budget allocates £Billions more funds to schools and education for the children who’s parents can’t afford to buy privilege. https://educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2024/10/31/budget-2024-education-send-childcare-private-schools-vat/
  4. Taxes being spent on providing public services as stated in the Labour Party Manifesto.
  5. One of the benefits of social media and online forums is they provide platforms on which Conspiracy nuts have the opportunity to out themselves, thereby saving the rest of us the trouble of finding out how whacked out they are before they ever get too close. We know employers search the online behavior of would be employees, it makes sense to do so, online activity is there for all to see.
  6. Nice false equivalence between public universities and private schools.
  7. Oh dear, people buying privilege have to pay VAT on it.
  8. Who said people in low incomes are going to buy homes? I see you are back to blaming immigrants. Schrödinger's Immigrants, who are one and the same time living on benefits and buying up all the expensive housing.
  9. You didn’t point out any facts you made a prediction for the future. The only fact about predictions of the future is the predicted events haven’t happened.
  10. I think you are letting your understandable election anxiety get the better of you. Chill, it’s going to be a peaceful election and a peaceful transition of power.
  11. Redirecting money from supporting rents to building affordable homes makes sense. Far too much tax payer’s money is being piped through to the pockets of buy to let landlords. Time to build the affordable homes the nation needs and stop funding private profits from public need.
  12. What do you have in mind, an attack on the Capitol?
  13. I agree, my true friends are people I’ve known since childhood. I refer to these as ‘friends with provenance’. We grew up together in a small community and know both each other and each others families since earliest memories. As for anyone else I know who’s gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole, life’s too short; that’s what the delete button is for.
  14. It’s gone beyond mild amusement and entered the realm of a medical situation, somebody needs to call the doctors: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/04/tucker-carlson-demon-war-room-podcast
  15. That wasn’t criticized, that was a lambasting in response to her attempts to invent excuses for the behavior she was being called to account on.
  16. Labour’s report does not. It was a report made at a different time in respect of entirely different circumstances.
  17. I post links to support claims I make, as per forum rules. I don’t engage I personal attacks.
  18. Yet more misrepresentation of reality. Winter fuel payments have simply been means tested, by definition available to those in need of financial assistance not available to those who are not. ‘To spite wealthy pensioners?’.
  19. She got ripped new one. Her ‘apology’ was the stuff of much laughter. There’s undoubtedly more to come.
  20. I’ve explained many times why I don’t post videos, least of all this is a discussion forum. There’s a clue in the name.
  21. You posted the very video of her getting ripped by the speaker for trying to invent excuses to avoid the criticism she was facing. Only when she was completely humiliated did she make a half assed back down. There will undoubtedly be more of this to come in the future. I’ll say it again. I’m delighted she’s been chosen as leader of what’s left of the Tories, she’s a gift to Labour and the Lib Dems.
  22. I don’t post videos, plenty of links online if you want one. I am however surprised that anyone following Badenoch’s progress to head of the Tories is not aware of her well publicized run in with the Speaker. I’m sure she has more where that came from. She’s the choice I would have made for Tory leader, I’m delighted to see her appointed and look forward to her ‘performance’.
  23. But but but….whatabout. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2022/sep/21/facebook-posts/biden-didnt-use-health-excuses-dodge-draft/
  24. I suggest you revisit Badenoch arguing with the Spear, it’s definitely it ‘a normal discussion’.
  25. The point is, Trump dodged the draft while someone else’s kid went to war in his place. Not the stuff a ‘Commander in Chief’ is made of.
