Yes, an imaginary world. Labour are not in Government, haven’t been in Government for over 14 years.

So how’s the UK economy going where you are? Where I am people are struggling, and it’s not getting any better.

Simply sticking to the topic of discussion, and not getting distracted by your attempts to wander off to hide behind an imaginary world where Labour are in Government.

There are no Unicorns, it’s an allegory for all the other false BREXIT promises and wistful thinking that lead the UK into the ever drowning mess it’s in. A nation removes itself from the largest developed free trade union on the planet, one a few short miles from its own southern border. The economy flinders. A now you want to listen to experts. Go look through the files of ‘Project Fear’.

Except I do understand the ‘Government’s predicament’ it’s one of their own making. A failure to clear asylum seekers and a failure to provide safe asylum routes - put it under the heading ‘A failure of Government’. And nothing at all to do with you ‘Anti Brit’ personal attack or indeed Labour.

The alternative is to review their asylum claims, allow those who are successful to enter society, work to keep themselves, contribute and pay taxes, while reporting those whose claims are bogus. But that would mean dealing with the issue rather than putting on performances at tax payers expense while funneling tax payer’s money to Government chums.

Apart from continual personal attacks, do you have anything to add to the discussion?

I’m more concerned at the spiraling costs of the Government’s failure to clear applications and the constant scapegoating of migrants for a whole range of other Government failures, This ‘asylum barge’ is a testament to the Government’s continuing failure. ’Stop the boats’ has morphed into ‘put them in big boats’, of which hundreds would be required to house the back log. I can picture the scene in the cabinet room, Sunak screaming ‘do something, anything but do something’. So what gets done is a pointless show at cost to the tax payer and profit to chums of the Government.

Forgive me, I thought the Government were running the country, including housing policies? Am I wrong?
