There’s a great deal more to denying citizens the right to vote than applying ID requirements. Times and days of voter station opening. Number and location of voter stations. Under staffing of voter stations. Intimidation of voters queuing at voter stations. The list goes on.

I read the OP to the thread you are responding in. But yes I get your point, you really don’t like people speaking out, you’d much prefer they kept quiet, except of course if they are rightwing politicians singling out a minority group for hate.

Pitting aside it’s the rightwing extremists doing all the shouting, you seem to have a problem with the first amendment.

Transgender people are part of the public, citizens, members of the body politic, they are an inseparable part of public life. Rightwing hate mongering will not change that, but it will almost certainly give rise to an increase in hate crimes against transgender people. And look who’s defending the hate monger.
