  1. Yet another example of a Republican accusation turning out to be a confession. It’s a thing.
  2. I’ll tell you what I am not. I’m not the topic of discussion.
  3. He’s done a great job wrapping the NI Protocol in some pretty paper and selling it to the Tories and DUP without actually changing it. Border in the Irish Sea, no hard border between NI and Eire, ECJ retains role as final arbiter of EU law as it impacts the Protocol and Trade between the EU and NI. The more interesting development is the clear break from deliberately antagonizing the EU to a more pragmatic and cooperative approach.
  4. There is no Constitutional right to carry a gun on anyone else’s private property or within the bounds of private premises. High time for US businesses to start looking after the safety of their customers and ban firearms from their premises.
  5. Pick a random religious extremist view, and then compare posts in this thread with that religious extremist view.
  6. Well make your mind up. Do women have autonomy over their own bodies or what?
  7. The British Royal family are the most notable example of first cousin marriage. Which in any case isn’t the topic of discussion. Sorry to interrupt your flow.
  8. You’ve just changed the definition of ‘foreign’. I know two people who were married at sixteen, both definitely long time British. This is a very positive change to the law.
  9. FOX does however have a long history of trouble reporting the facts.
  10. The comments made by Scott Adams on social media certainly were racist. How about discussing those, are you even willing to accept Scott Adams comments were racist?
  11. Or at least it seems Sunak thinks it’s done and dusted. I genuinely wish him good luck. But, as I said first off, let’s see what the deal is and let’s see the response of the extreme rightwing of the Tory Party.
  12. Why would anyone be offended over a well known overt racist being called out for their racist remarks? Why all the whataboutary and sophistry?
  13. The evidence of racist remarks is a bit of a stumbling block for that argument.
  14. Let’s get back to topic. Do agree the Dilbert cartoonist is a racist?
  15. Sunak will only need to rely on Labour if he takes this to a Parliamentary vote, which would inevitably feed an ERG/Johnson narrative of Sunak selling out Brexit. Keep in mind the only reason the Tories back Brexit was to try to stop the Tory Party splitting. It’s not done yet, not by a long way.
  16. People who frequently exhibit hyper sensitivity over ‘race’, defending an overt racist. Go figure.
  17. I recommend reading the article. English league football games were plagued with racism coming from a small but vociferous and often violent group of people attending games, ostensibly as ‘fans’. Identifying and calling out their behaviour, with clubs, player, mangers, fans and the football association all acting to rid the game of racism has very positive developments for the sport and those who enjoy it. The ‘let society evolve as it wants’ is exactly what happened, people spoke up and did something about a problem, journalists and newspapers played their part too. The Italians would do well to learn from the response of UK football to racism. Bring it back to an inclusive game that parents are happy to bring their children along to.
  18. And that’s the thing. All he had to do was keep is hate to himself. A bit late in life for him to learn there is no reverse gear on his mouth.
