  1. There is an ignore function for those who don’t like reading views they don’t agree with.
  2. But I haven’t forgotten Jonny. You never objected to the Tories enacting these restrictions. Since you bring your ‘work front’ into discussion, yes it might be a good idea to focus on that, posting while on company time, a bit of a tell on the ‘no focus front’.
  3. We should perhaps have a catch all whataboutary thread. Actually there’s enough whataboutary to have a whole sub forum.
  4. I don’t recall you complaining when the Tories enacted these restrictions.
  5. Algorithms that are able to identify people in social media are very capable of identifying for removal any image, be that a ‘scraped’ photo or any other form of online image abuse. The tech industry has the tools to deal with this, they choose not to do so.
  6. Yet more good news and of course more crying from the dock: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/aug/29/grandmother-and-daughter-plead-guilty-to-far-right-disorder-in-middlesbrough
  7. Just to pick one. How many times do British troops have to be sent to Afghanistan before the lesson not to do so sinks in? Oh and that sovereignty thing. Other nations have that too.
  8. I think I do. But that’s not my objection to your post. I don’t moan about UK foreign aid, I recognize and understand the positive part it plays in supporting UK interests. I’ve never said anything against Rory Stewart, my view is he’s the sensible and moderate path the rightwing chose not to follow.
  9. He also said: “Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
  10. Do you mind leaving me out of that. And please leave me out of that too.
  11. Time to start taxing the hyper wealthy, like we used to do back when the prosperity of the working and middle classes were growing and prospering.
  12. A weak deflection in a discussion in a discussion on a likely $4Trillion hike.
  13. We’ll certainly the views, opinions or beliefs you invent on my behalf.
  14. I don’t recall proposing any policies that were obviously never going to get enacted.
  15. Screaming from the political wilderness. All these ‘good ideas’ start popping up once no longer in power. It’s an idea with two advantages, it appeals to the Captain Hornblower demographic and Tugedhat will never have to deliver the policy, let alone the promised out come.
