  1. It’s all part of the ‘they need us more than we need them’ mindset.
  2. Clearly losing 8 to 49 wasn’t just a defeat, it was a clear signal that Coe couldn’t get anywhere the votes needed. That a candidate so far out of contention could possibly bring change is not at all realistic.
  3. To be fair, Trump he did do the Taliban a solid. They are almost certainly grateful for past favors in the “released from imprisonment” category.
  4. Correct. And that’s before other issues, not represented in the data selected for the illogical argument are examined. For example. While homosexuality sits within a spectrum of normal sexual development that is influenced by genetics, the same cannot be said of Pedophilia. There is also significant evidence that child sex abuse is, in many cases, a learned behavior, many child abusers having been victims themselves during their own childhood. The existence of pedophiles is not random, it has causes that are not those that relate to other normal sexual development. Therefore the sample of convicted pedophiles is not random. Pedophiles are not representative of the general population. There is no mathematical basis to draw conclusions on the general population from a sample that is not random and not representative. Finally, there is a reverse argument that comes out of the naïve ‘proportional’ view. The data on pedophiles comes from prosecutions, the behaviors of the individuals have been logged in the criminal record, it is very solid data. The data on homosexuality is very much less secure, being to a large extent based on self identification, certainly under reported. If the naïve reading of the proportionality is to be taken at face value, then it cannot be concluded that homosexuality is over reported among pedophiles without first closing out the equally logical, and statistically more sound, conclusion that homosexuality in the general population is massively under reported.
  5. “If you consider that the prevalence of homosexuality in the population ranges from 0.5% to 4%, the fact that 25% of paedophiles primarily or exclusively target boys very obviously shows that pedophilia is significantly more prevalent among homosexuals.” That’s an utterly ridiculous conclusion, but thanks for exposing your total lack of understanding of simple data analysis so very clearly. If 25% of pedophiles primarily or exclusive target boys, the only valid conclusion is “25% of pedophiles primarily or exclusively target boys”. It reveals absolutely nothing about the prevalence of pedophilia in the wider homosexual population. There is hope though. “if you factor in the actual number of homosexuals in society and their prevalence among paedophiles a very different picture quickly emerges” Now all you need is this actual data you refer to in order to see what picture actually emerges. Well, the actual data and the ability to understand what it is and is not telling you.
  6. You don’t have to celebrate anything, nobody is forcing you to join any parades. You do however get to provide links to claims you offer up as facts: Give it your best shot.
  7. Trump has already demonstrated his threats of ‘Devastating Consequences’ are meaningless verbiage. He’s a paper tiger.
  8. Yes hospital operating theaters do have Uninterruptible Power Supplies, so do control rooms. UPS back up to the critical systems within facilities is common practice, but it is not at all usual for large scale facilities to have complete UPS back up.
  9. In his first term of office (as President) Trump withdrew the U.S. from the treaty with Iran that Obama had negotiated. He absolutely was President when he did so.
  10. Once again you engage your fertile imagination of what I might or might not know. All to cover up a statement you make that you are unable to substantiate.
  11. Yes it’s about taxes, stripping funding from education assistance to the most impoverished districts in order to fund tax breaks for the wealthiest people on the planet.
  12. Yes the President can ask Congress to abolish a law, he can’t do so with his sharpie.
  13. But Jonny, that’s the point, they can’t impeach these judges, they don’t have the votes to do. If you had the most basic grasp of the actual process you would understand, the correct course of action is for the executive to appeal the rulings. Chief Justice Roberts has made that point, link provided above.
  14. No, I’m pointing out the obvious flaw in your post: “Well done GOP?” They’ve said they are going to impeach judges, they’ve done no such thing, it’s all theatre for dullards.
  15. Clearly you are no Constitutional scholar. The Congress makes and remarks laws, the process is not subject to Presidential edict.
  16. I’ll take your word for it, it’s not a neighborhood of the internet I frequent.
  17. Autospell isn’t my best mate. Corrected to help you get to grips with the fact the GOP stating they are doing something and actually doing something are not the same thing.
  18. Schools in impoverished Republican controlled districts will suffer the worst consequences of this madness. Turkeys voting for Christmas.
  19. You are up for pushing back on other folk’s dangly bits?
  20. Do you agree with Chief Justice Roberts that the correct course of action is for the Administration to appeal rulings the Administration doesn’t agree with? https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/18/politics/john-roberts-donald-trump-impeachment/index.html
  21. Jonny, the GOP gobbing off and the GOP doing something are two different things. The rest of your post is simply ill informed nonsense.
